I know! I know! Its been way too long since the show. I should have done this sooner but life happens. My husband was off from work two extra days this week so I let him play poker on line while I slaved away and cleaned the house. Well, I should have cleaned. What I really did was play SingStar and Guitar Hero. I love those games! I want to get Dance, Dance Revolution but I think I need to lose some weight first!
Enough about me! On with the show!
Ian starts us out with a quick recap of last week and then induces Brooke and Eric and Noelle and Doug. Before I go any farther, I just thought of something. When this show first started, I was sure that the winner would be a son/mom pair. The reason behind that being that the guy leads his partner and is thus more responsible for the way the dance turns out. I remember hearing some where that a strong male dancer can lead anyone. Wait, I think that's from Dirty Dancing! You know, when they're trying to talk Johnny into taking on Baby as a partner for the Sheldrake show while that girl recovers from her "real MD" abortion. The girl says "You're a strong partner, Johnny. You can lead anybody!" I love that movie. Crap! What was I talking about? Oh yeah! It is surprising to me that the top two pairs going into the finale tonight are daughter/dad pairs and not son/mom pairs. One son/mom pair will be joining the other two pairs tonight. Who will it be? Jesse and Rebecca or Erick and Carol? Ian says...Erick and Carol. Darn! I wanted the other pair! Well, I know I won't be voting for them tonight.
First up is Brooke and Eric dancing to Putting on the Ritz. That song always reminds me of Young Frankenstein. Excellent movie! They did really well as expected. One thing that I was a little disappointed in was that the past two weeks, their routines have contained no solo "look at the professional dancer" moments. The dancing was shared between the two of them. This routine had one of those moments. It's too bad because Eric could have handled something during that time. Let see what the judges say. What? The judges aren't saying anything. Odd.
Second is Erick and Carol dancing to You Can't Stop The Beat which was Noelle and Doug's song from last week. I'm not so sure that was a smart move. Oh well. Well, that was no where NEAR as good as Noelle and Doug. I'm not sure what happened to Carol. She was so much better in the beginning. This dance was very stiff and a little robotic. That's just as well because I want Noelle and Doug to win.
Bringing up the rear and in the best position to win it all is Noelle and Doug. They should go back to ballroom I think. They are dancing to Shake Your Grove Thing!! Oh no! I didn't that that was his genre. They were GREAT! Doug can Disco! Is was smiling the entire time. I do thing Doug missed a few steps and got a little lost a few times but he covered it well and didn't let it show on his face. I don't know about you but they have my vote! Pure entertainment! BTW, LOVED the outfits!
Vote, Vote, Vote!!
Since America is voting, it's time for filler. It is nice to see everyone again. We got to hear from a lot of the contestants but not Rodilyn and Jonathan...that bites. Now we get to see all ten dancers perform together. That was a pretty good routine but there were so many dancers I had a hard time following the dance. Was this taped at the beginning of the season? I think the judges were wearing different clothes.
I'm not sure how much more of this filler I can take. It's only 27 minutes into the show!
Voting is almost over and they need more filler. Brooke and Eric and about 20 pounds of filler are up first. I skipped most of it but not all. It's a good thing too because NOW we are going to hear from the judges. Chris is a fan and proud of both of them. CA says that Eric is the best parent dancer. Voting is now closed. Ben is still wearing that same earring. I like his tie.
Erick and Carol and their filler is next. I'm skipping most of it. Chris thought they were the couple to beat from the first week. CA says Erick reminds her of a young Gene Kelly. Ben says Erick reminds him of a young Bob Fossy and Ben Vereen. I won't miss Ben.
The final pair, Noelle and Doug, and their video package are last. I watched all of their video and got teary eyed! I hope they win. Chris gets teary eyed as well and loves them both. CA says Doug is the most improved, determined and dedicated. Ben's comments make me tear up again!
The final three dance as a group. This was taped but just earlier tonight and not a few weeks ago. Because if it was live, Noelle would have had to have been wearing that outfit underneath her other outfit. The routine was okay. It gave each dancer solo time in the spot light.
I keep on looking in the crowd to see Rodilyn and Jonathan but I'm not seeing them! (Where you there Rod?)
They got 500,000 votes in 20 minutes. That's pretty good! Third place is Erick and Carol. The winners are.......Noelle and Doug!!!! YES!!! Ian tried to talk to them but that was useless.
Well, Noelle and Doug won. They won $100,000 in cash and prizes. What do you think they ACTUALLY won?
Overall, it was a great show that really had no losers. All the contestants came away with a great experience, new friends and some exposure. I think this is the first reality show where no one was hated. Even though I didn't want Erick and Carol in the finale, that didn't mean I hated them. I just liked Jesse and Rebecca a little more. I wish all the dancers and their parents all the best. Good luck in everything you do!
Until next year, I bid farewell to Your Mama Don't Dance!
*I had already watched the show so I could vote but I tried to write the blog as if I hadn't seen the show and knew the outcome. I hope I did a good job.*
Congratulations to Noelle and Doug, winners of Your Mama Don't Dance!! It was a great show and I'm glad they won. I would also have been fine if Brooke and Eric won. I wouldn't have been too happy if Erick and Carol would have won. I don't have time to do the recap until tomorrow. I have chores to do today so until tomorrow...enjoy The Mean Kitty Song!
ETA: Good evening Rod and Rhonda!! I hope you two are doing well. I started this post when the show was on and then had to stop my husband came home early and demanded we have sex! Just kidding! He did come home so I cooked him dinner. BORING! Any who, I'm going to finish it up right now for you. I was planning on blogging LIVE next week but I can't if I want to vote!! I hit the pause button way too much.
-----
I know it's Friday but I'm still reeling from Idol last night. Who would have thought that Michael would be sent packing? I know some of you out there were wishing for it but thought it would ever happen. At least not this soon. Well, what's done is done and now onto other more pressing matters like did Doug and Noelle make it?!?! I'm dying to find out so let's go!
OH! It's Broadway tonight!! YEAH!! Of course, they have to go through the recap from last week but not me!! Ian comes out and talks the talk. Love the tie!! Last week Michael and Nicole and Noelle and Doug were in the bottom and Noelle and Doug are safe!!! YES!! I like them. I actually like everyone but only one pair is going to win. Right now, my money is on Erick and Carol but I haven't seen anything yet tonight.
The pros dance to Fame... Well, that wasn't my favorite. Maybe it was the outfits. The 80's were not so good fashion wise. Leg warmers were a HUGE fashion blunder of that time and three of the dancers are wearing them. I wonder where they found them. Note to Jesse: don't EVER wear leg warmers again.
Jesse and Rebecca are up first dancing in some sparkling outfits! Since there are only four pairs dancing tonight, Ian is REALLY chatting them up. I'm not sure if I'm going to like that. According to the rehearsal video, Rebecca had a hard tie this week. Let's hope she pulls it out. They are doing All That Jazz... They were okay but it seemed really slow. Either that or the dances are longer this week. Depending on what the other pairs do this week, that night have been their last dance. It's time to see the judges for the first time this show so Ian has to explain how the scoring works. What he should say is that the scores are going to be pretty close for Chris and CA and then Ben will pull something completely out of his ass and either help you or send you home. Chris thinks they pulled it off and gives them an 87. CA is talking right now about how the judges job is getting harder. Can i just say BULLSHIT! [rant=on] Chris sets the pace with his score and you just have to decide how many points you're going to knock off or add. Then Ben decides if he's going to play follow the leader or pull something completely off the wall out of his ass. It's been this way since the second show. I'm not sure if any of you remember that Ben was the judge they went to first on the first show. They never did that again. Just food for thought. [rant=off] CA gives them an 88. Ben is wearing the same dangley earring again. I think he's wore that one on four shows now. It doesn't look that good. Did he just tell Jesse to go to Broadway and sing? He must have attending the Paula Abdul School of Judging. He gives them an 88.
Brooke and Eric are up next. Are they doing something from Grease? I hope so! Brooke says it was really exciting to get a 99 from Ben last week. I'm sure it was. That's an automatic "see ya next week!" Eric has never seen Grease! I didn't know he was Amish! You must really have to try hard to avoid seeing Grease. I'm with Brooke, it's VERY un-American not to have seen Grease... THAT was great! Eric did a fantastic job and, like last week, the routine was even. There were no solos that have the parent standing there snapping their fingers. I liked it. I liked it A LOT! Chris calls it the highlight of the season (I think that's what he meant) and gives them a 94. CA enjoyed it and gives them a 95! I bet Ben's going to give them a 100 this week. Nope! He gives them a 99...again!
Erick and Carol are in cowboy get-ups! They look ridiculous and they know it! Carol is attempting the cartwheel that Jonathan wanted Rodilyn to do. I wonder how that's going to look. If they are successful, it will add some points to their scores. They are dancing to Anything you can do... They did the cartwheel and they needed it. This was no where near as good as Brooke and Eric. It was kind of boring and had a lot of walking around and poking each other. Not THAT way! Get your mind out of the gutter!! Chris liked the tricks and lifts and gives them a 91. CA thought it was fun and gives them a 91. Ben wanted Carol to sing it and gives them a 91.
So far so good. The judging has been consistent. Brooke and Eric are on top followed by Erick and Carol, with Jesse and Rebecca bringing up the rear and already in the bottom two. Doug and Noelle have to beat a 91 to avoid another showing in the bottom two because the pair you don't want to be in the bottom two with is Jesse and Rebecca!
Closing the show is Noelle and Doug. LOVE the outfits! Noelle looks good in green! They must be doing Hairspray. Doug says last week wasn't his genre. TOO funny!! I started laughing more when Noelle said "He has genre's now." Their video package made me tear up! I'm glad they didn't get voted off. They are dancing to You Can't Stop the Beat from Hairspray... I LOVED it! I think it was better than Erick and Carol. Doug and Noelle really lucked out with getting this. It's a peppy number that makes everyone want to dance! Chris calls it awesome and gives them a 94. CA says they have heart, it was on beat and gives them a 93. Come on Ben!!! Give them a good...WOW! Ben gives them a 97 without the chit chat! They are NOT in the bottom two!
It will be Jesse and Rebecca and Erick and Carol in the bottom two this week. Next week is the live finale with voting!
I believe I will go vote for Jesse and Rebecca! Who are you voting for?
I went to get my teeth cleaned today and get fitted for teeth bleaching!! Since I quit smoking, my dad is letting get my teeth whitened! In case you're wondering why my dad has to "let" me do it, he's my dentist. As long as I was smoking, which stains teeth, he was not going to whiten my teeth. Bad news is that he is retiring in about a week, which is why I'm doing it now, BUT I'm also going to have to go to the new dentist to have a filling redone after my teeth are whitened because it's not going to match anymore. I wonder how much that's going to cost? I've never had to pay for dental work. Man, this sucks.
Another thing that sucks is my dinner tonight. I was planning on having chicken, green beans, and pasta but I killed the chicken. It was messy and I'm not going to relive the horror. Last week, I would have ordered a pizza, after all, it's Idol night, but I'm on a diet now and pizza is NOT allowed...on Tuesdays! So I heated up a jar of spaghetti sauce and ate that over the pasta and added a salad. I think this is the first meatless meal I have ever had. I am so hungry!!!! I'm happy that I stuck to my diet but I REALLY wanted a pizza. Everyday from here on out is a dieting record for me. I usually cave by now. I am so weak!
I final have my Internet fixed...for now. I still need to buy a new wireless router but I have a network cable that's working for now. Just in time for Idol and to blog about Your Mama Don't Dance. I watched the show once already which is something I don't normally do but I wanted to see it and I didn't have Internet. What was I suppose to do? Anyway, on with the show!
We start this show with a recap of the last show before we find out who stays and who goes. The bottom pairs were Dante and Dolores and Jesse and Rebecca. In case you didn't figure it out, I voted for Jesse and Rebecca who are SAFE! Again! They are the cat of the competition! I don't know why, but Ian doesn't look as cute this week. I can't figure that out. Oh well! OH! When is was introducing the pairs, Carol gave us the horns again. Wait! I'm a dumb ass! I think she is actually giving the "I Love You" sign in sign language. THAT makes a lot more sense but isn't near as funny.
Tonight is Street Dance which should be funny. Those dances are hard especially for us old fogies! The professional dance at the beginning was excellent! Those kids can dance! Ian is white...very white. The 18th is the final and some how we are picking the winner LIVE!
Carol and Erick are the first pair. Carol is such a mom! She wants to understand where her son is coming from. Good luck with that Carol. they are dancing to Jump, an oldie but a goodie! Carol did a great job! She's even better the second time. She hit the beats and her marks. Funny, I find myself watching the parents 95% of the time. It takes a lot of guts to do something like this. Chris tells us about his "good old days" and gives them an 87. CA thought it was really fun and gives them an 85. Ben loves them and gives them an 86. Ben's word for the night is "MMMMM". He seems to use it as an adjective.
Nicole and Michael are next. Every week he reminds me more and more of my grandpa. They are dancing to the Black Eyed Peas. Well, despite Mike's ending move, that was not very good at all. I really liked them the first show but them seem to have gone down hill since then. Either that, are they have stood still while the other pairs passed them...and then lapped them. I smell bottom two! Chris says they were unbalanced tonight (just like Ben) and gives them an 85. CA thought it was unintentionally funny, Michael was scary and gives them an 82. Ben laughs a lot and gives them an 87.
Jesse and Rebecca are third. The third time is the charm! Rebecca is always a cutie in the rehearsal video. "Hey! I'm cool!" Too funny! Rebecca rocked it! That wave thingy was good. This was their best dance to date. Jesse was great (I actually watched him this time). I think they will be safe this week and so does Chris! He says Rebecca was in the pocket (?) and gives them an 88. CA thinks that Rebecca is such a good mom but would like to see her more aggressive and gives them an 85. Ben makes a bunch of noise and gives them a 95!
Noelle and Doug are the next couple. Judging by the rehersal video, it does not look good! I do really like them. Doug is super funny. In the video, he says "What about my head spin?" and then spends FOREVER getting down to the ground! LOL!! Let's see how they do. Well, it wasn't HORRIBLE but it wasn't great. I don't think they have the points to stay out of the bottom three. I do love their outfits and the hair! Chris loves the Mohawks but not the dancing and gives them an 80. CA didn't quite buy it and calls Doug out on missing steps. She gives them an 85. Ben thought they have been better but thought Doug worked hard and gives them an 87.
Last up is Brooke and Eric. We find out that the first day is hard for Eric. Brooke is doing a great job with him. I'm glad. Being a step parent is a hard job! Their outfits aren't that flashy but their dancing is! Eric gets down with the floor work! The half-split at the end scared me! I really liked this because they seemed like them were dancing together the entire time. Brooke had a few more steps but didn't do a solo that left Eric standing there clapping his hands. They should get the highest scores of the night. Chris seems to be blown away and starts to reminisces too much and gives them a 93. CA loved it and calls it hands down the best of the night and gives them a. Ben say "MMMM" yet again and gives them a 99. That looks pretty high to me! And it was the highest!
Ian reveals the bottom two pairs to be Nicole and Michael and Noelle and Doug. Go Noelle and Doug!!!! Vote now!!!! I hope they stay! They have been great and getting better each week until now. Street is not for old people!
I was all ready to come home tonight, eat supper, and watch Your Mama Don't Dance but look!
I helped Angie buy a puppy! Her name is Susie-Q and she is cute as a button. Angie and Joe already have one dog, Daisy. Daisy is from the pound and is very cute. She also has a heart defect that is only going to get worse. Angie has been looking for a new dog for a while. She wanted to get one to keep Daisy company and to ease the pain when Daisy...well, you know. We checked the local pounds but didn't find anything. Turns out, small dogs go fast! We also went to the puppy store a few times before and didn't really see anything. There was a puppy Angie liked a few weeks ago but I talked her out of it. It wasn't right for her. This new puppy is the bomb! She's a beagle and will only get about 13 inches tall. In the store, Daisy didn't seem to like her that much but when we got them home, Daisy was awesome and couldn't get enough of the puppy. They are going to be fast friends!
Anyway, I JUST got home a few minutes ago and turned on the TV. So, without further ado, it's .... Your Mama Don't Dance!!
Tonight we get to see if Jonathan and Rodilyn made it or if Jesse and Rebecca are moving on. This is also the first night that the girls and the guys dance on the same show. I wonder if they will have a group number too. I also wonder if I'm going to cry...again. Lifetime sure knows how to make me cry!
The show starts off recapping what happened last week with the guys and their moms. Ian is looking as hawt as ever! He tells us that the finale will be on April 18th. He introduces the five pairs that will definitely be dancing tonight and when he get to Erick and Carol, she gives us the horns!!

Here's the moment of truth! Will it be Jonathan and Rodilyn or Jesse and Rebecca. Rodilyn looks REALLY nervous! I hope they make it. OH NO!!!!!! Jonathan and Rodilyn are going home! That sucks! It's all Ben Vereen's fault. He gave the worst couple a 90 last week when they should have been the lowest score of the night! It's doesn't matter what Ben does from here on out because he's on my shit list forever!!!! What a turd! At least Rodilyn got a kiss from sexy Ian!!
The pros are dancing ball room and I'm a little disappointed. The number seems really short and the camera keeps on cutting away to the stupid audience! I don't want to see them clapping! I want to see dancing! I paused the show right when it ended and the couple in the back on my right didn't quite make that final pose.
Brooke and Eric are first up and they are doing the quick step. Yikes! The song is "Boogie, Woogie, Bugle Boy" and they did really good! Much improved over last week. The finish was funny which always scores big with the audience! They some good stunts and Erik seemed to loosen up this time. Since Dancing With the Stars had half of the couple dancing quick step this week, it's still fresh in my mind. I don't think this would get good marks on that show but it should get pretty good marks here. Chris thought they were a lot of fun to watch and gives them a 90! CA talks about ballroom dancing for awhile and gives them an 83. Ben blabs on for awhile then gives them a 92.
Nicole and Michael are the next pair up and they are dancing the samba to a song that I didn't catch. Well, on a day when Erik seemed to improve, Michael seems to have taken a step backwards. It was real awkward and not fun to watch. I hate to say it but it was a little cringe-worthy. I do not have fun when the dancers don't do well. It's not like on Idol where there are some people I don't like. I like EVERYONE on this show...except Ben. Let's see what the judges have to say. Maybe I'm wrong. Chris gives them an 87. CA saw a little of what I saw and gives them an 82. Ben is babbling again and gives them a 90.
Dante and Dolores are doing the waltz to Summertime. Dante admits that "a lot of people don't think we should be here." I wouldn't go that far but they should have been in the bottom two last week. Okay, okay! I'll stop beating that dead horse! You know how I just said that Nicole and Michael were cringe-worthy? They weren't...this was! I'm not even sure where to start. I guess we should start with the music. What was that version?!? I don't think I've ever heard a fast version of Summertime and I don't think I ever want to hear it again. It didn't go with any waltz that I know about. I didn't see much waltz but I did see a little quick step and A LOT of ballet from Dante. I was expecting him to pirouette every other step. And can we talk about the lift? I think they could, no, SHOULD have figured out another lift that wouldn't have Dante putting his hand on the inside of his step-mom's thigh. That was yucky! Chris gives them an 83. CA gives them a 78 and points out a few bad things. What's his face says that she looked unsure this time (Hey! Turd face! She was unsure last time!) and gives them and 83.
So for the judging *cough*Ben*cough* seems better. The best
Jesse and Rebecca are next and are dancing the Swing to Your True Love. That was cute and Jesse was great but Rebecca didn't seem to do much. I can see why because I don't think I would have been able to do much! The Swing is pretty fast and bouncy and I know I'm not a bouncy person and it doesn't seem like Rebecca is either. I'm not sure how the judges are going to score this. It didn't have the YUCK factor that Dante and Dolores had but they did have more dancing. Rebecca did look cute in her outfit! Chris calls it really good and gives them an 84. CA thought they had great spirit and gives them a 79. The guy on the end who should be medicated gives them a 85.
Noelle and Doug are doing the Rumba. They were excellent! I clapped! Doug was in command and lead the entire time. Noelle was beautiful. The multiple spins were awesome and seemed to go on forever. So far, best of the night! What else can I say! Chris calls it beautiful and gives them a 91. CA loved it, called Doug a dancer and gives them an 87. The guy with the earring gives them a 97!!! Best of the night!
Erick and Carol are next and it looks like Carol has been sick. They are dancing the Pasa Doble to a song I don't know. They are pretty good. Erick is a cutie and an excellent dancer. Carol give 100% every time. She was right time, hit her marks and didn't let her son down. I don't think they were as good as Noelle and Doug but they were pretty close. Chris gives them a 91. CA gives them an 87. Ben gives them a 98. Which means they are one point ahead of Noelle and Doug.
The two pairs in the bottom are Dante and Dolores and Jesse and Rebecca. I think I'll be voting for Jesse and Rebecca. That lift that Dante and Dolores did is burned into my brain! YUCK! Sorry guys!
NEXT WEEK IS STREET DANCE!!! AWESOME!
Who will you be voting for?
PS - I'm sorry you didn't make it Rodilyn. I hope you and Jonathan get to perform that dance you worked all week on. If you do, please record it so I can see!
Alright! Here we go! I'm starting a little late as usual but I've already heard from two of my friends that Pots and Pans does a REALLY bad job and gets weird comments from the judges. I'm interested to see what happened. Let's go to the tape!
As you all may (or may not) know, tonight is "Songs From the Year They Were Born" night for the top 10. Ryan opens the show, celebs are in the audience, Ricky and the band are ready, and the judges are here. Check, check, check and check. Okay, let's get this thing going.
Pots and Pans (5701) is up first and is singing Alone. BAD move kid-bitter! (Pause.) WOW! She started off slow and boring and not in time. The song kicks in and so does the bad notes and the overwhelming back-up singers. Poor Pots and Pans has some really bad notes and has to over come the back-up singers. She ends it badly. Randy lets everyone know that she's sick and tells her that it was a bad song choice. Paula is pumping her up and playing up the sick angle. OMG! Simon says it wasn't as bad as Randy said. He also says that Pots and Pans is sick. What the hell is going on? Normally, being sick isn't an excuse but tonight it is. Poor song choice is poor song choice no matter your health and this was a poor song choice. She should have listened to me and did a little Tiffany.
Jason (5702) is singing Fragile by Sting AND it's his birthday! He thinks he's an Aries. He is so goofy...I love him! (Pause.) Well...maybe it's because I don't think I've ever heard that song before but I didn't think it was that good. It was hard to make out what he was singing most of the time. A good part of it was in Spanish I think, it was hard to tell. I think the guitar was over powering tonight and not a good idea. Randy says it was a good song choice and it was nice. Paula says he is staying true to who he is but playing it safe. Simon thinks he has had two bad weeks and he is too laid back. I'm with Simon except for one thing, I liked last week. Jason agrees with Simon and says he was sloppy and could have practiced more. Gotta love him!
Syesha (5703) does that damn baby cry again during her video package. Hasn't anyone told her that it is not cute, it's creepy?!? She is singing If I were Your Woman and I'm not sure if I know this one either. (Pause.) I have heard the song before but not that version. She's a good singer and I think she hit every note but she just doesn't grab me. We've heard her type before and I don't think we need any more. Randy likes it ad thinks it's her best performance. Syesha NEEDS to STFU when the judges are talking. Paula liked it and blabs on about her being a dark horse and sailing on to the finals. Simon didn't like the ending and I didn't like the fact that she kept talking during the judges time. I HATE that!
Chikezie (5704) is up next and singing "If Only For One Night" which is a ballad. His birthday is September 11th. (Pause.) The lounge singer is back! I guess that was a little too mean. I liked it. It was pleasant and in tune. There are a few really good parts and I think this may be just enough to keep him from going home but not from being in the bottom three. Randy didn't love it and said it was old school and not hip. Paula said it was a good through back and he did a great job. Simon thinks he sang it well but it was cheesy. OH NO! He just talked back to Simon. That's gonna cost him some vote.
Brooke (5705) is singing the song I pick for her, Every Breath You Take by the Police! I think I just might like her tonight. She plays the piano by ear. (Pause.) That is not how I heard it in my head. I didn't imagine a country version. It was okay. She had a goof in the beginning and had to start over. I'm not sure if she should have played the piano on that one. I don't thin Sting is too happy about that. OH! One more thing, GET RID OF THE "MOSH PIT"!!! Randy thought the front was good but didn't love the rest. Paula enjoyed this more than last week. Simon agreed with Randy but says it's good enough to keep her in. Of course it is, she's one of the chosen ones.
BeckEye's favorite, Michael Lee Johns (5706), is up next and singing We Will Rock You/We Are the Champions by Queen which is something that BeckEye told him NOT to do. Oh well! (Pause.) This can be best summed up by this line from the song: "Mistakes, I've made a few!" This was a big one buddy. This was just one big mess and he should end up in the bottom three for that but I don't think BeckEye will allow that to happen even though she should to scare him into singing better. Randy liked it? Paula liked it too? Simon liked it too? I guess I must have been hearing it wrong. Oh well. I don't like him anyway.
Carly (5707) is a Virgo!! Me too!! Virgos picky not particular. She is singing Total Eclipse of the Heart. (Pause.) I think I might have to stop writing about the contestants that I don't like. It never seems to end well. Carly was kinda boring and a little off key tonight especially on that weird ending. What the hell was that anyway? Generally, she a good singer but I thought she was better last week. She does this thing when she's singing that almost looks like she having sex. She pumps her arms and does this bouncy pelvis thrust thing that is just a little odd. Let's see what the judges say. Randy didn't love it but liked it. It was just okay. Paula liked it and wants to buy it. She loves what she did at the end. As Randy said, it wasn't in tune! Simon says she was uptight. I guess he didn't think the dance move was sex like!
Kermit the Star Search Boy (5708) will be singing "You're the Voice" What the hell is that? (Pause.) That was very "Up with People". I only counted three lip licks but it seemed like the cameras were being pulled away during the time when he would normally lick his lips. He was okay but did miss a few notes. I'm sure the judges will drool all over him. OMG! Simon didn't like it and called it a theme park performance. It's a pageant song. He's a pageant kid. 'Nuff said.
Kristy Lee Cook (5709) is singing "God Bless The USA." Wonderful. This should be a nightmare. (Pause.) I'm sorry, I've had enough of her. She needs to go home. Maybe since VFTW picked her, she'll go home this week. We can only hope. Randy thought is was nice. Paula thought is was a good choice and she sounded stronger. Simon calls it her best performance and thought it was a cleaver song choice. He is right...damn it!
David Cook (5710) is up and singing Billie Jean. From what I heard, he rocked it! (Pause.) THAT was awesome AND the performance of the night! I am buying that on Thursday first thing. I loved the slowed down version better than the original. David is going to win this whole thing! Randy calls him the most original ever and says he may win the whole thing. Paula can't sit down and thinks he is brilliant. Simon called it amazing! He is my American Idol!
Bottom Three: Ramiele, Chikezie, and Syesha. Michael Johns should be here but, after the judges comments, I don't think he will be. Kristy should be here as well but she sang a USA song and has a rabbit's foot up her ass so this will be the first week she is not in the bottom three. Carly also wasn't outstanding but her fans got a scare last week so they will be voting extra hard. David A. will never be in the bottom three until there are only three people left. At which point, David C. will soundly kick his ass! It's getting tough and I think it's going to be the person with the least number of fans heading home tomorrow and that, my friends, will be Chikezie.
Who do you think is going home?
I'd like to take a minute and give a shout out to Rodilyn. Her and her son are contestants on Lifetime's Your Mama Don't Dance and they need your help. Because of poor judging on the part of Ben Vereen (see old post), they are in the bottom two and could be going home this week. Voting is open until Wednesday, click here to vote. Also, stop by her MySpace page and say "HI!"
Good evening everyone and welcome to another blog about Your Mama Don't Dance. Tonight, we have the sons and the moms. The last sons and moms show put Rebecca and Jesse and Jeremy and Doris in the bottom two with Jeremy and Doris going home. Do Rebecca and Jesse have enough fire up their butts to keep them out of the bottom two this week? We shall see.
This week should be interesting. The opening says that the Moms and Sons will be dancing through the decades. I wonder what that means? We will find out which daughter dad team is going home first. the couples in the bottom two are Heather and Stephen and Brooke and Eric. I'm pretty sure that Brooke and Eric are safe and...they are! Sorry Heather and Stephen. I hope this show has helped him and that he's no longer thinking about killing himself. Can I just ask, what the hell is Heather wearing on her feet? She looks great in an coral colored halter dress and then, you look down and she has what appears to be unlaced Army boots on. Why did they let her wear those?
The pros are dancing to the 60's tonight. They started in the audience, which I always like and then did a round robin kind of thing around the edge of the dance floor. It was awesome when they were all together in the center dancing. I loved it. It makes me wish So You Think You Can Dance was on year-round! (ETA: You're right Rodilyn, this one seemed longer than the disco number from last week.)
The first pair are Erick and Carol and it looks like their doing the 50's. These two were great last week and got the first (and so far only) 100 point score of the show! During the rehearsal Erick says "I think the buzz from the 100 is gone now." That made me laugh (and is the blog title). Nope, they are doing the 40's to "Jump, Jive and Wail". They were awesome! Carol did a ton of fancy footwork, a tons of lifts, and only seemed to loose her place once (that I could tell). Erick better be careful or he's going to break her! Chris loved it and gives them a 90. CA was impressed and gives them an 84. Ben, the wild card, actually said "Mom, God damn!" I'm pretty sure you can say damn and you can say God but you can't say God Damn together. But maybe I'm wrong. Anyway, Ben liked it and gave them an 80. I don't know how he determines his scores and I don't think he does either!
Jonathan and Rodilyn are the second pair. I wish they weren't going after Erick and Carol. It just makes it that much harder for them. Judging by their outfits (which I love), THEY are doing the 50's. There was tension this week with Rodilyn and Jonathan about a cartwheel. I have to side with Rodilyn. My last cartwheel was when I was about 25 and I knew then that it was my last one. Rodilyn hit the nail on the head when she said "You don't understand it because what you do is so easy for you." Let's see if they came together for the dance this week. They are dancing to "Hound Dog". They did really good especially after the problems they had this week. I looked like Rodilyn was really having fun and she was much looser than last week. I'm assuming that they will get lots of points for improvement. Chris thought they were great and Rodilyn was sassy! He also doesn't understand that as you get older, your body isn't as flexible. He's on my shit list for a little bit. He gives them an 85. CA give them an 85 too and also wants to see the cartwheel. She's my age! She should understand. Oh, wait, she probably has a personal trainer that she stretches and exercises with everyday. She's on my shit list too! Ben babbles on about melding and "Rosilyn" (what a dork) listening to Jonathan and trusting him. At this point, Rodilyn snaps. She has had enough of the judges (professional dancers all) wanting to see the damn cartwheel and gives Ben a piece of her mind. Good for her! Ben gives them a 78. I might as well put Ben on my shit list too!
Jesse and Rebecca are dressed for the 70's..I hope! No, Ian says it's the 80's. I think the song is "Dancing in Heaven". I grew up in the 80's and I don't remember that song or anyone wearing those types of clothes. Maybe it was the early 80's? Ya think? They were better then last week and Rebecca was looser but not much. They made my smile but I didn't clap. Chris gives them an 84. CA gives them an 83. Ben gives them an 82. With their funny and nice comments, Chris and CA are off of my shit list but Ben is still there. If he keeps on scoring crazy, he's going to stay there too!
The one thing that I hate about this show is also the one thing I like. Everyone is likable and everyone seems really nice. It's great because I know that someone I like is going to win but it's also bad because I also know that someone I like is going to lose...a lot! I have a feeling that from here on out, I'm going to get teary at eliminations.
Dante and Dolores are the last pair and they are wearing purple, sequined MC Hammer pants. On second look, the outfits are more like Aladdin as Ian pointed out. Either way, they are hideous! I'm not even going to try to guess what decade they are dancing. They are dancing the 90's to an MC Hammer song, go figure! They are done dancing and I'm not sure what to make of it (since I now know who is in the bottom two and it's not these two). Dolores looked at Dante the entire time. I even think she turned around to see him when she wasn't suppose to be turned around. Her moves were pretty dorky and I didn't think showed any improvement over last week. I even think she went backwards. It seemed like she started off behind and spent the entire dance trying to catch up. It's hard for me to be so hard on her because, guess what, I like her and Dante (because, if you're going to be gay, it's best to be flaming). If I didn't already know they made the top two, I'd bet a million buck they were in the bottom two. Chris gives the an 80. CA gives them an 81. Ben give them a 90 and is still on my shit list.
Before we find out who the bottom two pairs are (which I already know) I have to pause and take a moment to address Ben's judging technique if you can call it that. I have no clue how he scores the pairs.
Lets take a look at the scoring for this evening in order (Chris, CA, Ben):
Erick and Carol: 90, 84, 80
Jonathan and Rodilyn: 85, 85, 78
Jesse and Rebecca: 84, 83, 82
Dante and Dolores: 80, 81, 90
Chris has them scored in the order that I would say they did and is fairly consistent. CA is also consistent although she doesn't agree with me which is fine. Ben, however, is all over the map. He gives the best pair an 80 and the worst pair a 90? What is up with that? Who can a normal, seeing person think that Dante and Dolores were 8-12 points better then the other pairs? I don't get it and, for that, Ben is permanently on my shit list.
With that said, the bottom two pairs are Jesse and Rebecca (again) and Jonathan and Rodilyn. You can vote for your favorite pair *cough*Jonathan and Rodilyn*cough* until Wednesday. Here's the link: http://dance.mylifetime.com/on-tv/shows/your-mama-dont-dance/vote/vote
Please go vote...NOW!
Tonight is another episode of Your Mama Don't dance so I thought I'd better see last weeks show before then. If this episode is like the others, we should find out which son and mom team is going home from the last show. I was rooting for Rebecca. Let's see if she made it.
I just thought of something. Here's the pattern so far. Dads and daughters, a week passes, we find out which dad and daughter go home then Sons and Moms on the same show, a week passes, we find out which son and mom go home then everyone dances? Does that mean that the son and mom that go home had to learn another routine that they will never perform? I guess we'll see.
Tivo time must be different then Lifetime time because it's already started. I think I heard Disco! Yep! At least the girls and their dads are doing disco, not sure if the guy and their moms will be doing Disco tonight too or what.
Well, I should have just waited a few minutes. Ian has explained it all! Just the girls and their dads will be dancing Disco tonight. Next week (tonight actually) the guys and their moms will be dancing. After that, the six remaining pairs will dance each week until someone wins. I got it now!
The son and mom pair going home is Jeremy and Doris. That means Jesse and Rebecca will be staying! Yeah!!! It's sad to see people go. All of the pairs are winners! Great! Now I sound like Ben Vereen!
Group dance!!!!! Yeah! Rodilyn told me they were doing this but I'm still very excited and happy. I love dancing! And! It looks like a Disco number! They are awesome but I hope it's longer next time. I'm not sure but I think that was barely a minute.
Nicole and Michael are up first. They look fierce in matching PINK outfits! During the rehearsal footage, there is a spot where Michael reminds me of my grandpa dancing. The only thing missing was the Mike Brady Perm! They are dancing to "I Will Survive". Love that song! They were awesome yet again. I was completely entertained. He danced like my grandpa again! Let's see what the judges say. Do you think they will start with that stupidly named Vitamin C?
Side bar: I just went to Wikipedia and found out a little about Vitamin C. She is a month older than I am, she got married the same year that I did, and her real name is Colleen Ann Fitzpatrick. I think I'll start calling her CA.
Back to the show. Tonight Ian starts with Chris. He likes the lifts but doesn't want Michael to force the smile. He gives them an 86. CA is next and loved the death spin and gives them an 81. Ben says he recognized Michael. He gives them a 79.
We get back from the commercials and Ian is all decked out in a Travolta Disco Suit and looks mighty fine! He even dances a little.
The next pair up is Brooke and Eric. They did a good job last time. Let's hope they do well again. They are also wearing awesome outfits. The song they are dancing to is "Heart of Glass". Love this one too! They were pretty good but they don't make me smile as much as Nicole and Michael. Chris gives them an 85. CA is next and gives them a 75. Ben gives them a 78.
Heather and Stephen are the next pair. Stephen is wearing an Elvis scarf. Stephen has some grandpa moves too! They are dancing to "Boogie, Oogie, Oogie". My uncle Jim's nickname is Oogie, but I'm not sure if that's how you spell it. Anyway, back to the dancing. Okay, I like these two despite the depressed, divorced dad thing. I thought he loosened up a little and looked like he was having a good time. He seemed to miss a few steps but didn't let it get him down. Chris gives them a 76. CA is next and gives them a 71. Ben gives them a 79.
I just remembered that, during the first show blog, I gave them scores too under the name Formula 410! Oh well! I'll think about it. I bring it back for the next show.
Ian asks the sons (and moms) what they think. Dante says he's scared and Jonathan give me the title for this blog! "...Rebecca and Jesse have a fire up their butts." LOL
Hi Rodilyn! You look pretty in your feather boa!
Noelle and Doug are the last pair. They are one of my favorite as well. It's really hard to not have every pair be my favorite. Noelle can call her dad her friend and she tears up and so do I! They are having awesome music tonight. This time they are dancing to "Ring My Bell"! They did an excellent job. I think they were the best of the night with Nicole and Michael running a close second. Doug seemed to be pretty lose and having a good time. Chris gives them an 88 (highest from him tonight). CA is next and gives them an 82 (her highest as well). Ben gives them an 81 (his highest as well). Like I said, best of the night!
The pairs up for elimination are Brooke and Eric and Heather and Stephen (again). I think Heather and Stephen may be going home this time. But who knows. Stephen and Heather made me smile more than Brooke and Eric. I am behind so I don't get to vote.
The show ends with an awesome group hustle!
Who are your favorites?
Howdy! And a big welcome back...to me! I've been busy and neglecting this show. I received a comment today from one of the contestants (can you believe it!!) and I promised that I would try to catch up. Of course, a friend of mine is on Spring Break this week and wanted to go to a couple of Thrift Stores after work and I just got home. I got a couple of pretty neat books and I'll be sharing those with all of my readers later. I haven't had dinner so I'm going to take a moment to order a pizza.
Have you ordered from Domino's Online lately? They have the coolest thing. It's a Pizza Tracker and it tells you what is going on with your pizza in real time. Tasha has already put my pizza in the oven!
Anyway, back to the task at hand. Your Mama Don't Dance! Last week (in my viewing time) we watched the girls dance with their dads. All the stories were touching and I liked all the pairs (I've decided that "pairs" is a good term for this show NOT couples). This week, the show starts with letting us know who goes home from the daughter/dad combos. It's been a little too long and I can't remember who I voted for but I liked them both. Heather and Stephen are saved and I think I voted for them...yeah, that's it. I'm always right! It's sad that people have to be eliminated but someone has to win. As I said, I liked both pairs. The losing pair is sad to go but glad they got to take part.
The first son/mom pair is Jonathan and Rodilyn. Rodilyn is the contestant that stopped by my blog!!! COOL! Hi Rodilyn! Let me know if I can put a link to your MySpace page in my blog. I hope I like you two! Jonathan was a cheerleader before dancing. Rodilyn has SIX kids! One of her children was diagnosed with leukemia. Kids and cancer should not mix! Can I just say that Rodilyn looks DAMN good for having six kids! Jonathan and Rodilyn have a great relationship and I'm already getting teary!! They look spiffy in their dance outfits. Let's see how rehearsals went first. Well, judging by the tape, it was A LOT of work! They are dancing to "Rapture" by Blondie! That is one of my all time faves! Well, I guess I'm voting for them! Their dance was pretty good. There were a few times that were a little more like walking then dancing but I think that was just nerves. They had some nice moves in the middle and the end and an excellent finish! Let's see what the judges have to say. If Ben tells them that they already won, I'm not going to listen to the judges anymore. (My pizza is here!) Ian goes to Chris first and Chris loves Jonathan and think Rodilyn is hot. He gives them an 86. Vitamin Girl give them a 79. Ben babbles on give them a 90. Not bad!
Second up is Dante and Dolores. Dante does ballet and is from Jersey. Dolores is actually Dante's step-mom and he didn't like her too much in the beginning. But it looks like they are getting along now. They come out in their outfits and she is rocking the 80's look! Rehearsal didn't look like ti went well. They are dancing to "Shut up and Drive". I thought I'd be doing something from the 80's. Oh well! Dante seems to be doing a lot of dancing and Dolores seems to be doing a lot of walking and pointing. They are pulling a page out of Heather and Stephen's play book and standing on the edge of the dance floor playing to the crowd. I didn't like them near as much as the first couple pair. Chris give them an 81. Vitamin Girl gives them a 78. Ben gives them a 92 but not before babbling.
Jesse and Rebecca are the third pair of the night. Mom can do some popping! At least that's what I think it's called. Rebecca has had breast cancer twice. Okay, ANYONE and cancer just sucks! When asked who his least favorite dancer partner would be, he actually said his mom. He's the first one to do that. They come out with their dance outfits on and it looks like were in for some hip hop...but not until we see how rehearsal went. As with the previous pairs, it did not go well, They are dancing to the always awesome "You Dropped the Bomb on Me" by Grand Funk Railroad! With what I've seen as far and their choice of music, I KNOW I'm gonna like them! And I do, I loved the attitude, dancing not so much but I can over look that. Rebecca looked like she had a great time. Chris gives them a 90. Vitamin Girl gives them an 82! Ben babbles before giving them a 73!! WTH is wrong with Ben??
Fourth up is Erick and Carol. When they revealed his mom as his dance partner, He said she was the number one person he would want to dance with! How sweet! How can anyone dislike any of the contestants on this show? They look classy in their outfits! Guess what? Rehearsals seemed to go pretty well. Guess what? They seem to be doing ACTUAL Contemporary Dance with a capital "C"! WOW! That's a tough thing to do! They was the best dancing so far. Let's see how the judges liked it. Chris gives them a 95! Vitamin Girl gives them an 86! Ben is speechless, yeah right! He babbles before giving them a 100!! OMG!!!! Where are they going to go from here? It's the first 100 of the show. I forgot to say they danced to "In the Air Tonight" by Phil Collins (If I got that wrong, I'm sure someone will let me know.
Jeremy and Doris are the last pair. Jesse is a mama's boy...go figure. They outfits are classy as well. Their rehearsals went pretty good! So I'm expecting them to kick some ass. They are dancing to "Paint it Black" from Guitar Hero III! Ha-Ha! They did Contemporary with a capital "C" as well. Not too bad but not as good as Erick and Carol. Chris gives them an 89. Vitamin Girl gives them an 81. Ben babbles again and give them a 74! Ben is on something!
The bottom two pairs are Jeremy and Doris and Jesse and Rebecca. Since the next show has already happened, I hope that Jesse and Rebecca were saved. I have two favorites from this episode, Erick and Carol and Jonathan and Rodilyn. Who are your favorites? Are you watching?
I'll see tomorrow who got to stay but right now it's time for American Idol.
Oh my Lord! Have you seen this new show?!?! It's called "Your Mama Don't Dance" and it premiered on Friday. Can I just say this has got to be the cheesiest idea for a show I have ever heard of! Here's how the show goes. 10 professional dancers (5 guys and 5 girls) are competing in a dance competition with their parents as their partners! The 5 guys are dancing with their moms and the girls are dancing with their dads. They are competing for "$100,000 in cash and prizes."
The host for this craptastic show is Ian Ziering from "Beverly Hills 90210" and, most recently, "Dancing With the Stars." First off, he's a HORRIBLE host. Zero personality but he still is nice to look at. This week the girls will be dancing with their dads and next week it's the guys turn to dance with their moms. Oh! Before I get to far ahead of myself, this show is on Lifetime which means get those tissues ready, it's going to be a tear jerker!!
The first "couple" is Noelle and Doug. Noelle has a REALLY fat cat. Since it's Lifetime, they are REALLY squeezing the back story for extra tears. Four minutes into the show, Noelle is crying. During the audition stage, Ian asks Noelle who her least favorite dance partner would be. Her answer: George Bush! Good girl! That's when they reveal her dad. More tears. They FINALLY come out on stage dressed to dance! But wait! We have to see the practice tape! I'm liking Doug! He seems to be trying his hardest.
Oh! One more thing, the theme for this week is contemporary. For those of you who don't know, I'm a HUGE fan of "So You Think You Can Dance" (SYTYCD) which is an awesome show. It's on during the summer and starts shortly after "American Idol." I suggest marking your calendars and taking the time to watch it. The kids are awesome and some of the routines they do are outstanding and will stay with you for years! Think I'm kidding? Watch this!
Awesome!!! BTW, here's a Contemporary routine.
Anyway, as I said earlier the theme this week is contemporary. Because of SYTYCD, I have a pretty good idea of what a contemporary routine is. What Doug and Noelle are doing is NOT a contemporary dance. They are dancing to "Toxic" by Britney Spears in a style best described as free-form ballroom in my book. They aren't too bad considering. They also manage to avoid making the dance sexy in anyway, thank goodness! I think that might become an issue at some point during this show. We'll have to wait and see.
Now Ian is explaining to us in some detail how the points system works but it's really just a number that the judges pull out of their asses. Oh yes, Virginia, there is a panel of judges. Starting with Ben Vereen best known for multiple appearance on "The Love Boat." The next judges is some chick that looks around my age (maybe older) that is calling herself Vitamin C. What the hell kind of name is that?! I think I'll change my name to Formula 409 (because the world isn't ready for Formula 410)! The last judge is Chris Judd. I'm not sure what this guy has done or why he seems familiar to me. Was he married to JLo for 1o seconds? Was he on "The Surreal Life"? Someone please tell me who the hell he is! (I'm not concerned enough to look it up myself.)
The judging of our first couple begins. Ben tells the "couple" they have already won and gives them 90 out of 100. This is the first show. At this rate, everyone will be getting 100s in three shows. Vitamin C give them a 76 (a little more realistic). Chris Judd gives them an 88. Formula 409 gives them a 70 (I want them to EARN the 100 points).
Brooke and her step-dad Eric are next. Their back story doesn't really interest me all that much. It's not that it's not interesting it's just that I'm already tired of this part of the show. Basically, he's her step dad that she never appreciated but who was always there for her. One thing, Brooke's reaction to finding out she's dancing with her dad is awesome! Here's the video. It's really long. Wait for it to load and then start at about 1:42 into the clip.
Too funny! Let me just say that Eric's got some moves! They were WAY better then the first "couple". How are you going to score that Ben Vereen?!?!? The routine did border on the sexy side but the big cheesy grins helped to stop that. Ben gives them a 80 and tells them THEY already won. What the hell? He tells them that he gave them an 80 because they can do better. Did you just insult Doug? Anyway Vitamin D tells them a lot of meaningless crap so she can hear her own voice and gives them a 82. Chris gives them a 91. Last, but not least, Formula 409 give them an 85! Keep dancing Eric!
Heather and her dad Stephen are the third ones to dance. In their video package, Heather is seen with her mom stretching and all I can say is OUCH! I don't think the human body was meant to bend that far. Turns out that Heather's parents are recently separated and her dad is really depressed and making Heather feel like it's her responsibility to keep him from killing himself. Nice.
Heather and Stephen come out to dance in their outfits and he reminds me of Robin Williams in "The Bird Cage" because of the open sequined shirt over the black tee shirt. Maybe I discovered why Heather's mom wanted out. I find myself really routing for this guy despite the divorce issues. I thinks it's because I can already see him failing in my mind so that makes him the underdog. Go Stephen!
Oh my Lord! I don't think I can watch! Stephen is basically just standing there while his daughter dances around him. When he does a move, it's so stiff it looks like it hurts. Let me know when it's over!!! Ben gives them a 70 and tells them THEY already won. He tells them that he gave them a 70 because they can do better. Did you just insult Eric? I don't think I'm liking Ben's judging. Vitamin B12 likes to listen to the sound of her own voice and gives them a 77. Chris gives them a 74. I, Formula 409, give them a 60 (sorry). I guess I'm just really mean.
Celia and Silvano are "couple" number four. AWESOME! Silvano is gay! I'm not sure where Lifetime found all these families but a moving back story must have been first on the list. Celia's mom is Bipolar and couldn't take care of her so she started living with her dad when she was 8. Silvano sacrificed to get her to dance lessons. He also has cancer.
When they take the stage they are very stylish. They were kind of cute but Silvano was not much better than Stephen. I was expecting more from him. Ben gives them a 75. Vitamin E gives them a 84. Chris gives them a 91. Formula 409, gives them a 65.
"Couple" five is Nicole and Michael. She is VERY tiny. He made her dance outfits! At first glance, THIS is going to be the couple to beat. They are very confident and look great together. They make me chuckle. Scratch that, they have started dancing the they make me LAUGH! He's the first dad's the is actually dancing! He is a big, happy goof ball! I LOVE them! Ben gives them a 95 and declares it his favorite of the evening. Vitamin A gives them a 84 (that's what she gave the last people). Chris gives them a 93. Formula 409, gives them a 90! They are the ones to beat!
Nicole and Michael are number one! The bottom pairs are Heather and Stephen (pair 2) and Celia and Silvano (pair 1). We get to vote to keep one. Since I recorded this, I'm not sure if voting is still open. Ian tells me that it is. Yeah.
I can't believe I'm going to say this but I liked this show! I'm going to keep watching it. It's filled with cheesy goodness! I've laughed and I've cried during this show. It's not about the dancing. Since it's on Lifetime, it will most likely not be back for another season so we have to watch it while we can!
I've got to go to dance.mylifetime.com to vote. But who do I vote for? I'm not voting on dance ability since they were both bad. I'm voting on the back story. Do I vote for the needy divorcee? Or the gay single dad? I have until sometime on Wednesday.
