So you think you can twitter

Tonight starts the real dancing! Luckily, we didn't have to wait through 18 hours of auditions before getting to the good part like on Idol. BTW, did you know that Adam is gay? That's a big DUH! But I'm sure that there are people who didn't know. As a matter of fact, my Aunt Kim didn't know until I told her the night of the finale.

Also, three out of the top four have signed record deals. I'll give you one guess who hasn't...

I'll give you another minute...

That's right!!! Danny Gokey! That's okay, I'm sure he'll get signed by someone...anyone? Hello?! Is there anybody out there for Danny?? *crickets*

Maybe later.

Another BTW: I started to tweet. I'm basically just using it as my facebook status update but I have made a couple of new friends already. Follow me @kmantoni

Speaking of twitter, I follow Lil'C, Nigel, and Adam Shankman! Adam is a tweeting madman! Lil'C leans that way as well. It's very interesting. It's almost like I know them.

Okay, enough chit chat! On with the show and the ultra fabulous Cat Deely!!

The top 20 dancers are a bunch of hotties!!! Guys and girls! Cat has new babies!

The judges tonight are Adam Shankman, Mary Murphy, and Nigel Lithgoe. BOY! I missed this show!!!! I love me some Adam! Even when he's plugging his movies. I'm skipping the recap.

Jeanine & Phillip - Hip-Hop - Tabitha and Napoleon - “Mad” by Ne Yo (1-888-836-7601)
We get very little background on the dancers before we see Nappy Tabs. Looks like Tabitha is getting hair tips from Nate Marshall from American Idol. That wasn't too bad for the first dance. There were some pretty good moves but some standard Nappy Tab moves as well (which I could have done without). I'm sure it's hard not to reuse moves...I know I reuse the same moves EVERY time I dance! I think Phillip and Jeanine did well but I don't think I bought the story coming from them. I think it might be too early for great chemistry. Adam calls it un-freakin' real! I think he liked it. Mary pulls the old tired "I hate to disagree with XXXX .... SO I'M NOT GONNA!!!!" Nigel thinks Jeanine kept up with Phillip and made a name for herself.

Asuka & Vitolio - Broadway - Tyce D’Orio - “Hot Honey Rag” from Chicago
(1-888-836-7602)
Poor guys to get Tyce and his Jazz hands right from the get-go! I didn't really like that but then again, I really shouldn't judge the dance but judge the dancers instead. The dancers were great! I think they danced it spot on. I'm worried for them. Adam talks about the luck of the draw and how they didn't get any of it but they danced well. Mary is disappointed because they didn't bring it to life. Nigel thinks the dancing was strong and the lines were fantastic but it lacked personality.

Jonathan & Karla - Cha-Cha - Tony Meredith - Poker Face by Lady Gaga (1-888-836-7603)
They look really cute together. I'm not sure if it was the music or what but that really didn't look too much like a Cha-Cha. Who knows maybe it's just me. Also, I didn't think they were dancing it all that well either. It felt like Karla was goofing up and Jonathan was trying to get her back to where she needed to be. It also seemed like they weren't really into each other for the dance. Adam thought it was really good. Mary screams and call it a whole lotta rough and a whole lotta fun. Nigel thinks they exploded on the stage. Oh well, I guess it was just me.

Randi & Evan - Jazz - Tyce DiOrio - “I Only Have Eyes For You”
(1-888-836-7604)
Not another Tyce routine! Randi is the unitard queen. Evan is the guy that auditioned with his brother and made it over him. Lauren is helping Tyce out. I like these two! That was much better than Tyce's first routine. I liked that. It was hot in spots then the "Tyce" would show through and ruin it for me. I think I'm going to call this one my favorite so far. Adam calls them vertically challenged but says they danced like they were eight feet tall. Mary calls it smoldering and believable. Nigel thinks they will be a couple that people talk about...I think he's right!

Paris & Tony - Hip-Hop - Tabitha & Napoleon - “Let the Beat Rock” the Black Eyed Peas
(1-888-836-7605)
Tony lucked out getting hip-hop. Tabs is wearing an Obama shirt. That was fun but I think the first Nappy Tabs routine was better. These guys should have been hitting it hard but it seemed a little to soft to me. The song was about the beat so they should have hit the beat hard. Adam thought it was really good but calls it a little mushy. Mary doesn't think it's going to be memorable. Nigel agrees with Mary and thought they were just doing the steps and it wasn't real.

Caitlin & Jason - Bollywood - Nikuul - “Jai Ho” from Slumdog Millionaire
(1-888-836-7606)
Caitlin the sister that made it. Jason is cutie-pie! That was pretty fun too! I like Bollywood. I wasn't too sure about it last year but I'm sure now. I think the choreography was too fast towards the end and it got a little frantic but other than that, it was pretty, pretty good. Oh! And a LONG kiss at the end! Adam said they ROCKED!! Jason made it look effortless and Cailin blew it out. Mary is glad the Bollywood came to Hollywood. Nigel thinks they brought it and called it beautiful.

Janette & Brandon - Foxtrot - Louis Van Amstel - “Come Fly With Me” by Michael Buble
(1-888-836-7607)
Brandon kinda looks like Carlton. Louis is from Dancing with the Stars. Very nice! Awesome lift at the end. I bet Louis is happy there are on lift rules! It really looked like they were having a good time and I like the personality they showed. Adam called it lovely and beautiful. Mary makes a funny joke about her Botox and she can't believe she just said that! Mary calls it lovely as well. Nigel calls it beautiful.

Ashley & Kupono - Jazz - Wade Robson - Felt Mountain by Goldfrapp
(1-888-836-7608)
Okay, that was weird. I'm not even sure what else I can say. I'll call it the "Ring of Fire" of dance. Adam calls it weird looking at them but their technique is wonderful. Mary was into it and bought it 100%. She put the dog on the hot tamale train. Nigel calls Wade a genius and that people talk about him. Nigel loved it.

Melissa & Ade - Contemporary - Mandy Moore - “Right Here Waiting” by Richard Marx
(1-888-836-7609)
Mandy Moore is the queen of the 80's and I love her! Lots of love on tonight's show. Pick down! LOL!! I'm all misty after that one. Okay, THIS is my favorite of the night sorry other couple that I can no longer remember. This was sweet and touching and beautiful. Loved it! Way to go "grandma"! Adam calls it so special and tears up. He was moved. Mary screams first thing. She calls it believable and beautiful. She gets choked up too. Nigel calls the top 20 fantastic. He calls it beautiful. Well done!

Kayla & Max - Samba - Louis Van Amstel - Jum Bah Day by House of Gypsies
(1-888-836-7610)
Kayla is the one that lives with her grandparents. Her grandpa is a big old softy. Max is the ballroom dude this year. He isn't as cute as Dmitry or Pasha but I think he might grow on me. Loved it! Adam says OMG that was so good and thinks the Kayla was born in a ballroom. Mary hears a train. They're on the Hot Tamale Train! Nigel calls it truly sensational.

I thought Melissa and Ade were the best. Who did you like?

Top Four Tonight - SYTYCD

The top four dancer compete tonight for the title of "America's Favorite Dancer"!

Are you ready?

Computer - Check
Tivo Recording - Check
Tea - Check
Snack - Check (popcorn)
Phone line plugged in - Check
Dial Idol Started - Check

I'm ready!! Let's go!

All the dancers dance with all the other dancer tonight. I heard that the guys dance a Russian Street Dance. OH NO! I forgot the Vodka!

Cat is looking all Egyptian tonight.

I still think Mark should be on the show tonight.

The guest judge is Mandy Moore!!!

Up first are Courtney and Twitch dancing Hip Hop by NappyTabs to Church by T-Pain. I thought that was fun and well danced. I thought there was too much story in the beginning and not enough dancing but then they danced it up. I don't think the lift/spin with Courtney on his head looked all the great but I hadn't seen that before so that was good. I'm not jumping out of my seat or anything but it was okay. Mandy calls it awesome and says way to start it out. Mary calls it a knock out and screams. Nigel says he's going to miss everyone and everything except Mary's scream. Maybe I'm just missing Mark too much.

Cat is interviewing the contestants before their solos tonight. Filler, Filler, Filler. I am so tired of the solos. Great! They are interviewing the judges too. That's a first. I doubt the judges will say anything harsh to the contestants. Mary makes Courtney cry. Nigel wants her to teach.

To vote for Courtney call 1-866-83676-01

Katee and Joshua are doing Contemporary by Wade!!!!! The song is Slow Dancing In A Burning Room by John Mayer. That, of course, was the bomb!!! Wade rocks and so do Katee and Joshua. It was touching and I got misty. Many calls it beautiful and welcomes Wade back. Mary thinks it beautiful as well. Nigel calls it remarkable and give Wade a tongue bath. He goes on to call them brilliant and two of the best dancers on the show.

Katee and Courtney are doing a Tyce Broadway routine. The song is The Trolley Song by Rufus Wainwright. Maybe it's my dislike of Tyce but I REALLY didn't like that. He could have done something sexy but no! The costumes contain more fabric then their entire outfits from the entire season and they weren't even cute. The horrible outfits did allow me to concentrate on the dancing. I think they danced it well enough even though one of them was off towards the end. It was regular Tyce, manic dancing and running around the stage. But maybe it's just me. Mandy calls it cute and the outfits adorable. Okay Mandy. Mary thinks they pulled it off. Nigel pimps Katee some more. I would have preferred a Jazz-type routine to I Kissed a Girl by Katy Perry. (If you haven't gotten her CD yet, you need too. It's fabulous!)

Twitch Filler. Twitch solo. Mandy calls him the little engine that could. Mary talks for awhile and then says she was speechless...I wish. Nigel likes his solos.
To vote for Twitch call 1-866-83676-02

Twitch and Joshua are doing Russian Something by Youri Nelzine. The song is Trepak which is Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker Suite. Okay. That was OVER THE TOP goofy!!! I'm sorry but I just started laughing when they were skipping around the stage. That being said, I was definitely entertained. I do, however, think Joshua had AWESOME tricks and upstaged Twitch. I guess I'm wrong because all the judges were on their feet. Mandy calls it insane. Then the guys get into a jumping contest. Now I know why Joshua and Twitch were rushed to the hospital Monday after this routine. Mary gives it a standing scream. Nigel calls it memorable.

Katee filler. Katee solo. Mandy tells her to keep dancing and stay in ballet class. Mary says she has been tremendous. Nigel agrees with Mary and calls Katee brilliant.
To vote for Katee call 1-866-83676-03

Katee and Twitch are dancing the Foxtrot by Tony and Melanie. The song is Feeling Good by Michael Buble. That was nice. I wish it was Chelsie and Mark but that's my cross to bear. I think I'm going to have to put this below the Hip Hop and Russian Thing. I also thought Katee's dress was a little overbearing. Mandy calls it romantic and the lift was amazing. Mary thinks Twitch looks snappy and then she gets shrill and I tuned out. Nigel pimps Katee again. I thought they wanted either Joshua or Twitch to win?

Joshua Filler. Joshua solo. I think he blew Twitch out of the water again. Mandy thinks he's wonderful and, for the first time tonight, doesn't mention anything about taking addition dance classes. Mary says he deserves to be standing on that stage. Nigel makes a joke about stinky feet. He would HATE to smell mine!
To vote for Joshua call 1-866-83676-04

Did you catch that add for the new game show Hole in the Wall? In case you didn't, it's a show where people have to jump through a hole in a wall that is moving towards them. If they don't make it, they fall into a pool of what looks to be pee. I'm already laughing!

Joshua and Courtney are dancing the Jive by Jason Gilkison, G'day Mate! (I think they should have someone do the Hand Jive next year. Oh! And Dirty Dancing! That would rock.) The song is The Dirty Boogie by The Brian Setzer Orchestra. That was just plain mean to put that dance last. That was harder on Joshua then the Russian Thingy. I don't know about this one. I'm not sure where to place it. It was WAY hard but kinda sloppy. I think I'll have it tie with the Foxtrot. Mandy says Holy Moley! Mary babbles about how that was. Nigel gives that first bad review of the night.

All of them are dancing a Contemporary routine by Mia. The song is Hallelujah by The Vitamin String Quartet (maybe now I'll remember to look them up on iTunes). That was pretty good. I'll call it second best of the night. I would have liked more joy and less running around and tricks. I was feeling it but only at the very end. Mandy calls it magical and amazing. Mary is wearing on my nerves. Nigel takes a page from Mary's book and babbles on a bit too long for my taste.

Here are my power rankings:
Katee and Joshua - Contemporary

All Four - Contemporary
Courtney and Twitch - Hip Hop TIE Joshua and Twitch - Russian Thingy

Katee and Twitch - Foxtrot TIE Joshua and Courtney - Jive
Katee and Courtney - Broadway

What do you think?

*Be sure to watch the Paris Hilton video below!*

Top 4 dancers revealed - holy buckets!

Good evening all! Hubby is being kind enough to let me post LIVE. But I'm just doing highlights.

1. I LOVED the opening number by Mandy Moore. I couldn't take my eyes off of Mark and Chelsie.

2. The winner is going to be in an Adam Shankman movie! Cool!

3. Nigel is just a big softy.

4. I'm VERY tired of the solos.

5. Why did they have that little kid on? He was good but not that good. But Cat is adorable!

6. Katee is the first girl in the finale.

7. The first guy in the finale Joshua.

8. Exactly what the hell is Lady Gaga? Can anyone tell me? And why is she wearing Cher's outfit from the 80's?

9. The second girl in the finale is Courtney!!! WOW!!! I cried!

10. The second guy in the finale is Twitch!!!!!!!! SON OF A B*****!!!! WHAT A CROCK!!! Mark was 1,000 times better than Twitch. Wait a second. I sound like all those people who were mad when Will was sent home. I guess that's the way the cookie crumbles.

The events of tonight make things MUCH easier for me next week. I already know who I will be voting for...Joshua. No, I don't think I should wait until I see the show next week. It's America's Favorite Dancer and he's my favorite of the people left. It's simple.

Who's your favorite?

So You Think You Can Dance - We're Getting Closer

It's Wednesday again and time for the best summer show EVER...So You Think You Can Dance!

Before I start my blog I have to talk about something new happening over at MySpace. MySpace recently started adding applications. Which are basically games that you can play with your friends online. Well, a friend of mine sent me on invite for a game called Mobsters on Sunday. Now, I'm addicted! I have installed all games that are similar and I've been trolling MySpace for new "friends" to play with. In the past day or two, I have added 41 friends. I only had about twice that to begin with. If your on MySpace and want to play with me, click here and add me as a friend (put "Mobster" in the request field). I love it!

On with the show!

I don't think Cat looks preggers tonight, that's a good thing.

Toni is working the AARP Female Singer Circuit these days. She's working with Bette Midler and Tina Turner. Maybe I'll see her in Vegas when I'm there. I'm not going to Bette but I am going to Cher!! Eat your hearts out!

Since my blog has a new look, I'm going with a new format. I'm still going to have the same info just not so structured. That took a long time and the bold text became a pain in the ass.

First up tonight is Will and he picked Courtney. They are doing Hip Hop and Samba. The Samba is by Jean-Marc and has a ton of hip action. The song is I Fell In Love With The DJ by Che' Nelle (I think). Watch out! The lightening is going to strike me down when I say this. I actually liked it! I liked it a lot! I even liked Will. I don't think I'm going to vote for him but I didn't hate him. Maybe I just really, really like Courney and some of it rubbed off. Either way, it was good and fun and i liked it! Also, was that dance longer or was it just me? Nigel loved it. Mary makes some bad reference to "Punked" but she liked them and then proceeds to get to technical for the normal person. Toni liked it so much she didn't take notes!

All the dancers seem to be doing this number 4 gang sign thing tonight. I don't know what the hell is up with that. There is a lot of filler tonight...a lot!

Comfort is up with her solo but there is more filler before the dancing. since I want to get back to those damn MySpace games asap, I think I might fast forward through the rest of the pre-solo interviews.

Comfort is dancing to I Got This Down by Simian Mobile Disco. She skipped around a lot and pulled up her pants. She should have gone home last week.
1-888-83676-01

Twitch got paired with Katee this week and they are doing Contemporary and Broadway. Hey! They knew each other before the show. Mia is doing the Contemporary. They are dancing to Mercy by Duffy. Twitch starts the thing with a cigarette in his mouth. Since I am an ex-smoker, I think that was a HORRIBLE thing for Mia to do. Smoking is a hard habit to break and we don't need people portraying it as something cool to do. I wonder how many kids are going to pick up a cig tomorrow just because Twitch had one in his mouth. OMG! Did you see that full frontal, open-mouthed kiss at the beginning? That was bold. I liked it and could see the story. I'm still very unhappy about the cigarette and that puts them below Will and Courtney so far. Nigel calls the performance outstanding! Mary does a horrible knock-knock joke this time. She calls it fun and she loved it. Toni calls Mia the reining Queen of Contemporary dance and says wow!

Will was inspired by the movie Dirty Dancing. Okay, I'm liking this guy this week. I could have done without the mini commercial for the Debbie Allen Dance Academy. I wonder how Cedric is doing there and if he ever went. Will is dancing to Get Up Offa That Thing by James Brown and even dressed up like James. I liked it. It was entertaining but Comfort seemed to have more time. Either that or she was so boring that it just seemed really long.
1-888-83676-02

Mark is stuck with Comfort this week so I guess he will be going home tomorrow. Boo!! They go Foxtrot and Hip Hop. NappyTabs is doing the Hip Hop. They are dancing to Party People by Fergie. That was certainly better than the crappy two-step from last week. There was this awesome flip thing where Comfort did a somersault, Mark grabbed her legs and flip her complete over his head and down his back. Unfortunately, I don't think it's enough to keep them safe. The competition is tough now and good ain't god enough anymore. Nigel liked them both and also loved the flip thing. Mary says they did a great job and thinks Mark nailed it. Toni takes classes from NappyTabs! I forgot to say that Toni looks pretty good but all I can think of is "Oh Mickey you're so fine, you're so fine you blow my mind. Hey Mickey! Hey Mickey!" I wonder how much money she made off of that and if she is still getting money.

Katee is dancing to Taking Chances by Celine Dion. There are some bad storms in my area tonight and that was totally messed up because of it. I can't tell you how it was.
1-888-83676-03

Joshua and Chelsie are together and dancing the Argentine Tango and Disco. Dmitry in doing the Tango!!! They are dancing to A Los Amigos from Forever Tango. Lots of props tonight. That was fun. I thought they did a really good job with it. Chelsie is awesome and I can't take my eyes off of her when she dances. I had to force myself to look at Joshua. Nigel found it enjoyable. Mary blabs too much for me. Toni is pulling out some new word tonight. She calls this Tango "Street" and says they did it well.

Mark is dancing his solo to Creator by Santogold. That was enjoyable. I like him because he's quirky!
1-888-83676-04

Will and Courtney are doing Slow Hip Hop to Like You'll Never See Me Again by Alicia Keyes. I had high hopes for this dance. It had a great story but I don't think it delivered. Put it to you this way, I'm not crying and I should be. The very end had the most emotion for me when it was Courtney looking at the pictures but I think that was too little too late. Nigel felt the emotion. Mary is an ass. Toni took a page out of Mary's book and babbled on too much for me.

Chelsie had some Jon Bennet moments while she was growing up. She is dancing her solo to Damaged by Danity Kane. She rocks at ballroom. It's her birthday today!
1-888-83676-05

Twitch and Katee are doing Broadway by Tyce. I expect a lot of Jazz Hands. The song is Sweet Georgia Brown from Bubbling Brown Sugar. That was pretty good but it was typical Tyce. I am so bored with his stuff. Nigel says that Twitch rises to every challenge and there isn't one routine that Katee has done that he hasn't loved. Mary calls it terrific. Toni thinks Twitch brings reality to the dance.

Joshua is dancing to Shawty Get Loose by Lil Mama. That was the best solo of the night. I think he could win it all. He has my votes!
1-888-83676-06

Courtney is dancing to Where I Stood by Missy Higgins. She was the best girl of the night!
1-888-83676-07

Twitch is dancing to Go To Work by Kay L. That was pretty good but I still like Joshua better.
1-888-83676-08

Comfort and Mark got stuck with the Foxtrot. Comfort should do well with that...NOT! They are dancing to Lady Luck by The Brian Selzer Orchestra. I think Rami from Season 4 of Project Runway designed Comfort's outfit. It was a little drappy. Yeah, that wasn't very good for the final eight. Nigel says they lost the chemistry and didn't like it. Mary didn't like it either and slams them for their holds. Toni says the dance is hard and that their hip hop was fabulous.

Joshua and Chelsie are doing a Disco!!! I love Disco. The song is Everlasting Love by Gloria Estefan. That wasn't the best Disco I've seen but it made me smile! Nigel says the lifts were fantastic. Mary calls it amazing and says they were dancing full-tilt. Toni says they pulled together the spirit of Disco from the clubs.

Here's how I rank the dances:
Will and Courtney - Samba (Can you believe I have Will in number one place!!!)

Joshua and Chelsie - Tango
Joshua and Chelsie - Disco
Twitch and Katee - Contemporary (would have been much higher if it wasn't for the cig)
Will and Courtney - Slow Hip Hop
Mark and Comfort - Hip Hop
Mark and Comfort - Foxtrot

I'm putting my points on Mark and Comfort to go home.

Who are your picks?

Top 10 Dancers - kinda

As most of you now by now, Jessica broke a few ribs and can't dance for at least four weeks. In other words, she's out and Comfort is back in. Jessica will still be going on tour but will not win. I KNEW the judges really wanted Comfort in the top 10! I voted for Jessica to leave last week and, as it turns out, she did. Will I get my Office Pools Points? NO! That's okay, I'm not going to win the darn thing anyway.

Cat's outfit is kinda nice but it is a little bit bunchy in the tummy area. It kinda makes her look pregnant. Could she be? Maybe Jessica was right!

They left Comfort/Jessica out of the intro line-up. Interesting.

Jessica comes out and says "I broke two ribs and fractured one." I know it's been a long time since I had vocabulary but isn't "broke" and "fractured" the same thing?

When she was leaving, Cat called her brave. What the hell is brave about having broken ribs and resting to let them heal?

Lil'C is the guest judge so NO KRUMPING! Awesome!!!

Remember kids, there are all new pairs this week and from here on out. I'm excited to find out who swims and who sinks!

Pair: Courtney Galiano & Joshua Allen
Style: Hip Hop

Choreographer(s):
Dave Scott
Background Nugget: Courtney has never popped. Joshua loves Dave Scott. I'm just glad Dave has a normal name.
Song: Skippin' by Mario
Thoughts: It's Frankenstein based! Nice! This was awesome!! There were so many good things about it and nothing bad. What an awesome start to the show!
Note Worthy Move: This ricochet head bang thing along with the entire rest of the dance!

Judges: Lil'C says Joshua and Courtney did good and they added character. Mary it was a lot of fun and it was tremendous. Nigel calls Joshua "Dr. Spankenstein" har-har. He then slams Courtney. Bully!

Solo: Chelsie Hightower
Style: Ballroom

Song: Pon de Replay by Rihanna
Thoughts:
Pretty standard solo for a Ballroom dancer with the exception of the brief floor work.
Number: 1-888-83676-01

commercial

Pair: Kherington Payne & Mark Kanemura
Style: Two-step (oh boy!)

Choreographer(s):
Ronnie and Brandi
Background Nugget: Brandi has a bun in the oven. Two-step looks hard.
Song: Kick Back by Ty England (TONS of steal guitar)
Thoughts:
OMG! That was HORRIBLE! Mark looked so gay! It looked like on of them was off the entire time and it was not fun to watch.
Note Worthy Move:
Too horrible for anything to be considered note worthy. (And I just realized that I've had "Note Worth" and not "Note Worthy" this entire time!!! I'm very embarrassed! I got to change that right now!)
Judges: Lil'C says the missed move bled onto the skin of the dance floor. Mary compares the Two-step to the Quick Step. She blames it all on Kherrington. Nigel blames Kherrington as well.

Solo: Gev Manoukian
Style: Hip Hop

Song: Hello/Goodbye (Uncool) by Lupe Fiasco Feat. Unkle
Thoughts:
Had some awesome moves! Took his shirt off during his dance. Cool!
Number: 1-888-83676-02

commercial

Pair: Comfort Fedoke & Twitch
Style: Smooth Waltz

Choreographer(s):
Hunter Johnson
Background Nugget: Funny line: Give me your butt.
Song: Open Arms by Journey (this is one of those songs that anyone who grew up in the 80's knows in the first two notes..."Oh god!" was my first reaction.)
Thoughts: Well, it didn't seem like there was a whole lot of waltzing in that Waltz. There was a lot of turning and lifting and kicking but not much Waltzing.
Note Worthy Move: HUGE lift with Comfort sitting on Twitch's hand all the way up in the air.

Judges: Lil'C tells them to be the routine and calls it respectable. Mary says it's lacking power and the rise and the fall wasn't there. "It really didn't work." Nigel says it wasn't strong enough for a top ten dancer.

commercial

Solo: Courtney Galiano
Style: Contemporary

Song: I Want You To Need Me by Celine Dion (YUCK)
Thoughts:
Pretty good. I think she can jump as high as she is tall!
Number: 1-888-83676-03

Pair: Katee Shean & William Wingfield
Style:
Broadway
Choreographer(s):
Tyce DiOrio...again
Background Nugget: Tyce likes these two together.
Song:
Sit Down You're Rockin' The Boat from Guys and Dolls
Thoughts: Okay. I don't like Tyce and I don't like Will. What are the chances that I'll like this routine? Slim to none! And I would have won! I didn't like it. They used a boat because "Boat" was in the title of the song. I'm pretty sure that "Rockin' the Boat" doesn't mean that you're REALLY rocking a boat. I also hated the end when Will ripped open his shirt. It's almost like they did that so people could see his bare chest and vote for him based on his washboard abs. Katee didn't seems as good as she was with Joshua. I'm sure the judges will love it. (Dimitry in the house!!)
Note Worthy Move:
They used a boat. After all, "Boat" was in the title.
Judges: Lil'C loved it. Mary loved it. Nigel loved it.
I was really only half listen to the judges until Nigel says that they are the first couple tonight to dance like they should be in the top ten. WHAT?!?! Did you forget about Courtney and Joshua?! I hate Nigel tonight.

commercial

Solo: Mark Kanemura
Style: Contemporary
...I think
Song: Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen
Thoughts:
I love Mark! He's pretty funny but he's really turning on the gay tonight. Or maybe it's just me.
Number: 1-888-83676-04

Pair: Chelsie Hightower & Gev Manoukian
Style:
Contemporary
Choreographer(s):
Sonya Tyaeh (Mohawk chick)
Song: These Arms of Mine by Otis Redding
Thoughts:
It was hot in spots but no where near as hot as in Johnny's room!! Awesome movie that Dirty Dancing. I think they could have put just a touch of dirty dancing into it and it would have been awesome.
Note Worthy Move:
Gev with his triple leaps.
Judges: Lil'C thinks they committed to the dance. Mary believed it. Nigel felt it too but thought Gev may have had Courtney on his mind.

Solo: Comfort Fedoke
Style: Hip Hop

Song: Need A Boss by Shareefa Feat. Ludacris
Thoughts:
Good but not good enough to keep her in another week. That's gotta suck getting voted out two weeks in a row.
Number: 1-888-83676-05

commercial

Solo: Twitch
Style: Hip Hop

Song: I Question Mark by Wade Robson (THE Wade Robson???)
Thoughts:
He's good!
Number: 1-888-83676-06

Pair: Courtney Galiano & Joshua Allen
Style: Rumba

Choreographer(s):
Jean-Marc Genereux
Background Nugget: Rumba is the dance of love.
Song: Hero by Enrique Iglesias
Thoughts: Gev is really jealous now! That was hot! They looked really good the entire time except....
Note Worthy Move: the crotch-to-face lift was too funny! Courtney better have good hygiene! Just sayin'.

Judges: Lil'C says he might need his asthma pump. He says they took his breath away. Mary talks about the Rumba and says they got it! Calls the whole thing fantastic. Nigel thanks Joshua for keeping his shirt on. Joshua then makes a FUNNY comment about Twitch and Will being naked all the time.

commercial

Solo: Katee Shean
Style: Contemporary

Song: This Woman's Work by Maxwell (MTV Unplugged)
Thoughts:
Very nice!!!
Number: 1-888-83676-07

Pair: Kherington Payne & Mark Kanemura
Style: Jazz

Choreographer(s):
Tyce *sigh*
Background Nugget: No story.
Song: Canned Heat by Jamiroquai
Thoughts:
Poor Mark. I feel bad for him. If I liked Kherrington more, I'd feel bad for her too. I just don't understand how the judges praise Tyce every time. This wasn't as bad as his contemporary but it was still pretty bad. Maybe it was just the Disco sounding music.
Note Worthy Move:
Not a damn thing.
Judges: Lil'C says it was a good routine and that they nailed the turns. Mary isn't jumping out of her seat and she wanted more. Nigel calls it a driving test. They checked off the boxes but didn't put anything behind it.

Solo: William Wingfield
Style: Contemporary
Song: Dance With My Father by Luther Vandross
Thoughts:
It was okay. Nothing took my breath away. He was, however wearing a shirt.
Number: 1-888-83676-08

Pair: Comfort Fedoke & Twitch
Style: Hip Hop

Choreographer(s):
Dave Scott
Background Nugget: They should kill this.
Song: Forever by Chris Brown
Thoughts: Twich killed it but I don't think Comfort is as good as she thinks she is. This should have been tops of the night but it didn't beat Courtney and Joshua's Hip Hop.
Note Worthy Move: the ending...not sure how to describe it.

Judges: Lil'C calls it buck. He defines buck but I don't really care. Mary calls it buck too and then admits that it doesn't sound right coming out of her mouth. She bows to Twitch. Nigel says it looks like they were dancing for the joy of it. He says Comfort did a great job.

Solo: Kherington Payne

Song: Breakin' Dishes by Rihanna
Thoughts:
She seemed tired...wonder why?
Number: 1-888-83676-09

Pair: Katee Shean & William Wingfield
Style:
Pas de Deux
Choreographer(s):
Desmond Richardson & Dwight Rhoden
Background Nugget: Non-traditional Ballet?
Song:
Imagine by DAVID ARCHULETA! Who picked THAT song?
Thoughts: Guess what? Will is shirtless...again. It was different. I think I'm going to have to see that dance performed a few more times until I get it.
Note Worthy Move:
Will did tons of spins.
Judges: Lil'C loved it. Mary loved it. Nigel loved it and pours it on way too much for me.

commercial

Solo: Joshua Allen
Style: Hip Hop

Song: Jam by Michael Jackson
Thoughts:
Best solo of the night.
Number: 1-888-83676-10

Pair: Chelsie Hightower & Gev Manoukian
Style:
Jive
Choreographer(s):
Jean-Marc Genereux
Song: The House Is A Rockin' by Brian Setzer
Thoughts:
I loved it! I didn't take over first place but it came close.
Note Worthy Move:
It was so fast, it's hard to pick out one great move.
Judges: Lil'C thinks Chelsie outstepped Gev. Mary thought they did a terrific job and they have a great partnership. Nigel thinks it was entertaining and that the energy level was there. All three thought Chelsie stole the show.

Comfort should be going home but she did very well in the Hip Hop. Kherrington might find herself in trouble. As far as the guys go, I think one of my favorites might be going home and it might be Mark. I hate to say it but he didn't do very well tonight. I would LOVE to see Will go home but I don't think that will happen.

I hope they don't do solos every week from now on.

Top:
Courtney Galiano & Joshua Allen - Hip Hop

Really Good:
Chelsie Hightower & Gev Manoukian - Jive
Courtney Galiano & Joshua Allen - Rumba

Good:
Chelsie Hightower & Gev Manoukian - Contemporary
Comfort Fedoke & Thayne Jasperson - Hip Hop
Katee Shean & William Wingfield - Pas de Deux

Not so good:

Katee Shean & William Wingfield - Broadway
Kherington Payne & Mark Kanemura - Jazz

Down Right Awful:
Kherington Payne & Mark Kanemura - Two-Step
Comfort Fedoke & Twitch - Smooth Waltz

Who are your picks?

Aerosmith

I got it! I got the newest Guitar Hero last night! I got it really late and didn't have a chance to play it last night. I've been dieing at work all day! I want to play!!!!! I'm at the second level (medium) on Guitar Hero III but I don't think I'll every get higher than that...not unless I can grow another finger.

Since I arrived home late last night, I did not have time to blog about SYTYCD.

Since I have the new Guitar Hero, I won't be doing it tonight so I thought I'd just post a few quick thoughts.

1. They kicked off Thayne and Comfort.

2. I was happy to see Comfort go but I thought for sure the judges would jump on the chance to send Jessica home. I really don't know how many more times they can kick sand in her face.

3. I'm sad that Thayne had to leave. He was a goofy guy that was funny and was an awesome dancer. I hope Mia keeps her word and gives him jobs. I'm sure he'll be one of the back-up dancers for the tour.

4. The guest dancers were awesome and frighteningly similar looking.

5. OMG! What the hell did they do to Cat's hair?!? I think she was hiding some baby birds in there.

6. I am in love with Katy Perry! The song was funny and VERY catchy! I downloaded the entire album today and have listened to nothing else. "Waking Up In Vegas" is awesome too. I highly recommend the whole thing!

7. America is in charge of who leaves from now on.

8. I'm excited to see how my favorites do with different partners.

That's all for now. I have to go home and play Guitar Hero!

So I Think I Can Judge...Don't We All!

Are you ready to rumble?!?!?!

Yes, boys and girls, it's that time of the week when I decide who danced well, who sucked, who should go home and who got the shaft. Last week poor Kourtni and Matt were the "who" for three out of the four. I wonder who the judges will try to get rid of this week. After this week, it's all up to America.

But, first things first...what the hell is Cat going to be wearing tonight?!? Let's find out!

I'm not sure what Cat is wearing but the pattern reminds me of the bedspread I had in college. That thing really should have been burned.

Nigel has a new doo!

Mia Michaels is the guest judge tonight and I heard a rumor that she was especially bitchy to Mark. Bitch better be watching her back!

Pair: Chelsie Hightower & Mark Kanemura
Style:
Salsa
Choreographer(s):
Alex de Silva
Background Nugget: Who told Alex that those glasses looked good?
Song: Fuego by Joe Bataan
Thoughts:
Loved it! Mark was hot. Chelsie was to die for (or to kill for). The choreography was hot and they made it look easy.
Note Worth Move:
The ending crotch-to-face lift was good but the after-routine dismount was even better.
Judges: Nigel says it was a terrific opening and the footwork was great. Mary calls it a rocket fast number and says it worked. Mia calls Chelsie stunning and says she wants to stab her.
Number: 1-888-83676-01

commercial

Pair: Comfort Fedoke & Thayne Jasperson
Style: Hip Hop

Choreographer(s):
NappyTabs
Background Nugget: Thayne smiles too much.
Song: We Can Chill by Ne-Yo
Thoughts: Despite the fact that he's a real big goof ball, I like Thayne. Comfort not so much since last week (she should have gone home instead of Kourtni). I watched Thayne almost the entire time and thought he did an awesome job. NappyTabs is A-1 in my book!
Note Worth Move: I'm not sure how to describe that slide on the floor, grind, and then slide under thing they did.

Judges: Cat calls it Hip Hop Days of Our Lives! Nigel didn't like them. Thinks Thayne tried but Comfort didn't. Mary didn't think they had chemistry. Mia calls it a little bit more than good but says they need to work on their connection.
Number: 1-888-83676-02

Pair: Jessica King & William Wingfield
Style:
Contemporary
Choreographer(s):
Oh good lord! They are letting Tyce DiOrio do Contemporary!
Background Nugget: Tyce is getting biblical.
Song:
Silence from Unfaithful (Soundtrack)
Thoughts: OMG! WTF was that?!?!? That was bad! The song sucked. The choreography sucked. None of the moves seemed to go together. They were shaky during all of the lifts. It was just a train wreck.
Note Worth Move:
They would have scored more points if they had just had sex on the stage.
Judges: Nigel calls Tyce's work extraordinary and proceeds to pimp Will. Mary liked it and thought it was hot. It was NOT hot and NOT amazing. Why are they saying it was so good? I hope Mia calls it like it was. Mia thinks it amazing. WTF? Did you like it? Am I just insane? Is my dislike of Will clouding my judgement THAT bad? Please let me know. If that is the case, I'm just going to stop saying anything about them.
Number: 1-888-83676-03

commercial

Pair: Courtney Galiano & Gev Manoukian
Style: Cha-Cha

Choreographer(s):
Anya & Pasha!!!!
Background Nugget: Everyone but Courtney spoke Russian. Gev shaved his chest hair.
Song: Don't Stop The Music by Rinanna (The Wideboys Club Mix)
Thoughts: Loved it!!! Best of the night! THAT was hot! Gev was total in control and Courtney looked like she was willing to do anything!
Note Worth Move: Everything! Pasha and & Anya made this thing smokin'!

Judges: Nigel says WOW and calls it great fun. He also says they are perfect for each other. Mary says it was magic and it was a great number. They are on the Hot Tamale Train! Mia calls it fabulosity at it's best.
Number: 1-888-83676-04

Pair: Kherington Payne & Twitch
Style: Krump

Choreographer(s): Lil'C
Background Nugget: They are looking for the buckness. I'm too old to know or care what "buckness" is.
Song: 2 Buck 4 TV by Tha J-Squad
Thoughts: White chicks shouldn't krump. It was okay but not for me.
Note Worth Move:
nothing.
Judges: Nigel says Kherrington did a damn good job...except for the last 16 bars. Mary now believes in Krump. Is Krump like Santa? Mia calls it nasty and buck.
Number: 1-888-83676-05

commercial

Pair: Katee Shean & Joshua Allen
Style: Vienesse Waltz

Choreographer(s):
Jean-Marc Genereux
Background Nugget: Joshua is playing a ghost...a ghost that can lift a human.
Song: Iris by The Goo Goo Dolls
Thoughts:
That was pretty good too and the lifts were smooth. I could see the story they were trying to tell.
Note Worth Move: Joshua lifted her up really high above his head and wasn't shaky at all (Will should take notes).
Judges: Nigel calls Joshua bouncy and Katee beautiful. Mary says all the lifts were great but the dancing of the Waltz was lacking and didn't glide. Mia calls Joshua a football player trying to dance but that Katee was meant to dance.
Number: 1-888-83676-06

commercial

Pair: Chelsie Hightower & Mark Kanemura
Style:
Broadway
Choreographer(s):
Frickin' Tyce
Song: I'm A Woman from Smokey Joe's Cafe
Thoughts:
They did a great job with Tyce's crap. It was steamy!
Note Worth Move:
Major wardrobe malfunctions! The front of Chelsie's dress got stuck in the back of Mark's suspenders and she had to yank it out. Mark's suspenders kept falling down. I felt sorry for him.
Judges: Nigel calls it hotter than Vegas! Mary calls it sultry, sexy and bluesy. Mia says it was a success but said it showed Mark's lack of training and Chelsie needed to move more. Bitch better watch herself!
Number: 1-888-83676-01

Pair: Comfort Fedoke & Thayne Jasperson
Style: Contemporary

Choreographer(s):
Mandy Moore
Song: A Different Corner by George Michael
Thoughts: It was okay. I didn't really think that Comfort gave it her all. Thayne did but he always seems to. I don't think Comfort likes Thayne.
Note Worth Move: Comfort rolled herself into a pretty stunning lift.

Judges: Nigel would have liked to see a different couple dance it. Mary didn't believe it. Mia says that Comfort can only fake it so much but thinks Thayne is brilliant and so do I!
Number: 1-888-83676-02

commercial

Pair:
Jessica King & William Wingfield
Style:
Quickstep
Choreographer(s):
Tony Meredith and Melanie La Patin
Song:
Bandstand Boogie by Barry Manilow
Thoughts: The actual quicksteps moves were not good. The judges will love it.
Note Worth Move:
Will opens the number with about 50 back flips.
Judges: Nigel thinks everything was great except for the Quickstep part. Mary picks on Will's jacket. Mia is sad and says Will looks tired of carrying her and says he needs a new partner. SLAM! They keep on telling Jessica that she needs more confidence and then they slam her face into the ground. Poor girl.

Pair: Courtney Galiano & Gev Manoukian
Style: Jazz

Choreographer(s):
Mandy Moore
Song: Standing There by The Creatures
Thoughts: Another outstanding routine! I love them and I love Mandy Moore.
Note Worth Move: Courtney flips Gev by his neck.

Judges: Nigel thought it was a bit of fun. Mary thought it was rough and raw and loved it. Mia says they had a great night tonight. She calls them one of her top couples.
Number: 1-888-83676-04

Keep politics away from my dancing...especially the Crypt Keeper!

Pair:
Kherington Payne & Twitch
Style: Smooth Tango

Choreographer(s): Alex de Silva
Song: Assassin's Tango from that horrible movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith YUCK!
Thoughts: It seemed forsed just like the movie! In my book, they nailed it! HA-HA! I didn't really like it. This wasn't their night.
Note Worth Move:
Kherrington did a handstand into a over the back lift.
Judges: Nigel says it wasn't honest and that Twitch look uncomfortable and calls it his worse. Kherrington didn't have the passion. Mary loved the begining and the end but not the middle. Mia didn't think they were committed to the number.
Number: 1-888-83676-05

commercial

Pair: Katee Shean & Joshua Allen
Style: Bollywood

Choreographer(s):
Nakul Dev Mahajan
Song: Dhoom Taana from Om Shanti Om (Soundtrack)
Thoughts:
That was fun and a nice change. From the Indian videos I've seen, they did a pretty good job.
Note Worth Move: They didn't really nail the knee spins and I hope they didn't accidentally throw a gang sign.
Judges: Nigel babbles on a bit too long. Mary does some math and Mia
Number: 1-888-83676-06

I got a little tired at the end.
