"I put stars on the boobs"

It's the first night of Hell Week on American Idol. I had a dream about it last night. I think I need to start doing something else with my time. Anyway, I thought about this cool opening I was going to write weaving in different Hell Week stories like how they used to have to right their own songs, the Brittinam Twins, Michael Johns, and how God only likes good people but I forgot most of it when I woke up. Well, on with the show.

They open with dramatic clips and dramatic music. One of these kids will be your next American Idol. Not sure what happened to the theater they have used in the past but this year they aren't using it. They are using the Kodak Theatre. Does this mean they are using a different place for the finale this year? Kinda anti-climatic to go back to the stage you started on. Oh well, what do I know.

Simon starts by saying that all they are looking for is a star while Paula does the hustle by herself.

Ryan then tells us about Idol Boot Camp. Thank goodness! Since the stylists are on the scene, I can watch in HD! I guess I'll have to do that tomorrow. I was running late tonight and didn't have time to set the computer up in the bedroom (that's where the fancy TV is located). Barry Manilow showed up to scare all the kids and warn them against the dangers of too much plastic surgery. ust kidding, he just gives them a pep talk about going after your dreams.

It's the line-up again this year. The contestants come out and sing. They are either asked to stick around or told to go home.

First up is Lil Rounds. Right off the bat she tries to do Whitney and we're all left to wonder if she's ever watched the show. You DO NOT sing Whitney unless you are forced. She is not doing nice things to my ears. But the judges loved her. Maybe it was better in person.

The next dude is worse in my book and the judges. Simon doesn't like his face. Lil is in. The other dude is out but not going away. It's rather embarrassing...poor guy.

Sounds like the next bunch of people didn't do that well and we don't get to hear any of them.

The next group starts with a guy that breaks down and cries about bursting skin. Anoop's in the house!!!!! I love this guy!!! He's funny and my early favorite. A pretty girl is red is excellent. They do a back story about Rose who I think is the orphan. I really liked her. She's different. This entire line makes it which included Jason Castro's brother who's hair is now a new color.

The next group includes Von who over sang in his audition but made it anyway. This group also included the guy from Puerto Rico with the big eyebrows. Simon didn't like Von but I heard that he made the top 36 so I'm not getting my hopes up that he's going home...and he stays.

Guess what?!? It's time for the part about picking the right song. I know this is not the last time we will hear that.

Norman Gentle is up for comedy relief. He was pretty entertaining and pulled it out in the end. He can sing. OMG! Randy pulled out "Banoodles"! Mia Michaels would be so proud...or mortified...that her word was still being used almost a year later. Norman makes it!

The first half of the Hollywood hopefuls are done. Now it's time for the sightseers to take their turn. The second half is the lucky group because at least they got to see something other than the theater and the airport.

I'm glad Ford isn't taking any bailout money. They may have had to give up their Idol tie-in. I'm not sure what I would do without the cheesy Ford commercials!

This year's Amanda Overmyer (Jackie) wears an ugly shirt and a fanny pack but her hair is only one color. I deem her not as entertaining.

The widower and his friend get more camera time...and they both make it.

Bikini Girl is up after the break. I didn't like her then and I don't like her now. She make it for now but I don't think she makes it to the top 36.

Rocker, Emily, is bitten by the "bad song choice" bug. I heard it through the grapevine that she doesn't make it to the top 36 becuase of a DUI.

In the end, 104 make it on to the next round which is tomorrow!!! See you then!

(I'm going to try to revive my idea of using a funny quote from the show as a blog title. I seem to remember that it's easier to do in the earlier rounds. You know, before they weed out the crazies. This blog title is by Bikini Girl.)

Aerosmith

I got it! I got the newest Guitar Hero last night! I got it really late and didn't have a chance to play it last night. I've been dieing at work all day! I want to play!!!!! I'm at the second level (medium) on Guitar Hero III but I don't think I'll every get higher than that...not unless I can grow another finger.

Since I arrived home late last night, I did not have time to blog about SYTYCD.

Since I have the new Guitar Hero, I won't be doing it tonight so I thought I'd just post a few quick thoughts.

1. They kicked off Thayne and Comfort.

2. I was happy to see Comfort go but I thought for sure the judges would jump on the chance to send Jessica home. I really don't know how many more times they can kick sand in her face.

3. I'm sad that Thayne had to leave. He was a goofy guy that was funny and was an awesome dancer. I hope Mia keeps her word and gives him jobs. I'm sure he'll be one of the back-up dancers for the tour.

4. The guest dancers were awesome and frighteningly similar looking.

5. OMG! What the hell did they do to Cat's hair?!? I think she was hiding some baby birds in there.

6. I am in love with Katy Perry! The song was funny and VERY catchy! I downloaded the entire album today and have listened to nothing else. "Waking Up In Vegas" is awesome too. I highly recommend the whole thing!

7. America is in charge of who leaves from now on.

8. I'm excited to see how my favorites do with different partners.

That's all for now. I have to go home and play Guitar Hero!

So I Think I Can Judge...Don't We All!

Are you ready to rumble?!?!?!

Yes, boys and girls, it's that time of the week when I decide who danced well, who sucked, who should go home and who got the shaft. Last week poor Kourtni and Matt were the "who" for three out of the four. I wonder who the judges will try to get rid of this week. After this week, it's all up to America.

But, first things first...what the hell is Cat going to be wearing tonight?!? Let's find out!

I'm not sure what Cat is wearing but the pattern reminds me of the bedspread I had in college. That thing really should have been burned.

Nigel has a new doo!

Mia Michaels is the guest judge tonight and I heard a rumor that she was especially bitchy to Mark. Bitch better be watching her back!

Pair: Chelsie Hightower & Mark Kanemura
Style:
Salsa
Choreographer(s):
Alex de Silva
Background Nugget: Who told Alex that those glasses looked good?
Song: Fuego by Joe Bataan
Thoughts:
Loved it! Mark was hot. Chelsie was to die for (or to kill for). The choreography was hot and they made it look easy.
Note Worth Move:
The ending crotch-to-face lift was good but the after-routine dismount was even better.
Judges: Nigel says it was a terrific opening and the footwork was great. Mary calls it a rocket fast number and says it worked. Mia calls Chelsie stunning and says she wants to stab her.
Number: 1-888-83676-01

commercial

Pair: Comfort Fedoke & Thayne Jasperson
Style: Hip Hop

Choreographer(s):
NappyTabs
Background Nugget: Thayne smiles too much.
Song: We Can Chill by Ne-Yo
Thoughts: Despite the fact that he's a real big goof ball, I like Thayne. Comfort not so much since last week (she should have gone home instead of Kourtni). I watched Thayne almost the entire time and thought he did an awesome job. NappyTabs is A-1 in my book!
Note Worth Move: I'm not sure how to describe that slide on the floor, grind, and then slide under thing they did.

Judges: Cat calls it Hip Hop Days of Our Lives! Nigel didn't like them. Thinks Thayne tried but Comfort didn't. Mary didn't think they had chemistry. Mia calls it a little bit more than good but says they need to work on their connection.
Number: 1-888-83676-02

Pair: Jessica King & William Wingfield
Style:
Contemporary
Choreographer(s):
Oh good lord! They are letting Tyce DiOrio do Contemporary!
Background Nugget: Tyce is getting biblical.
Song:
Silence from Unfaithful (Soundtrack)
Thoughts: OMG! WTF was that?!?!? That was bad! The song sucked. The choreography sucked. None of the moves seemed to go together. They were shaky during all of the lifts. It was just a train wreck.
Note Worth Move:
They would have scored more points if they had just had sex on the stage.
Judges: Nigel calls Tyce's work extraordinary and proceeds to pimp Will. Mary liked it and thought it was hot. It was NOT hot and NOT amazing. Why are they saying it was so good? I hope Mia calls it like it was. Mia thinks it amazing. WTF? Did you like it? Am I just insane? Is my dislike of Will clouding my judgement THAT bad? Please let me know. If that is the case, I'm just going to stop saying anything about them.

Pair: Courtney Galiano & Gev Manoukian
Style: Cha-Cha

Choreographer(s):
Anya & Pasha!!!!
Background Nugget: Everyone but Courtney spoke Russian. Gev shaved his chest hair.
Song: Don't Stop The Music by Rinanna (The Wideboys Club Mix)
Thoughts: Loved it!!! Best of the night! THAT was hot! Gev was total in control and Courtney looked like she was willing to do anything!
Note Worth Move: Everything! Pasha and & Anya made this thing smokin'!

Judges: Nigel says WOW and calls it great fun. He also says they are perfect for each other. Mary says it was magic and it was a great number. They are on the Hot Tamale Train! Mia calls it fabulosity at it's best.
Number: 1-888-83676-04

Pair: Kherington Payne & Twitch
Style: Krump

Choreographer(s): Lil'C
Background Nugget: They are looking for the buckness. I'm too old to know or care what "buckness" is.
Song: 2 Buck 4 TV by Tha J-Squad
Thoughts: White chicks shouldn't krump. It was okay but not for me.
Note Worth Move:
nothing.
Judges: Nigel says Kherrington did a damn good job...except for the last 16 bars. Mary now believes in Krump. Is Krump like Santa? Mia calls it nasty and buck.
Number: 1-888-83676-05

commercial

Pair: Katee Shean & Joshua Allen
Style: Vienesse Waltz

Choreographer(s):
Jean-Marc Genereux
Background Nugget: Joshua is playing a ghost...a ghost that can lift a human.
Song: Iris by The Goo Goo Dolls
Thoughts:
That was pretty good too and the lifts were smooth. I could see the story they were trying to tell.
Note Worth Move: Joshua lifted her up really high above his head and wasn't shaky at all (Will should take notes).
Judges: Nigel calls Joshua bouncy and Katee beautiful. Mary says all the lifts were great but the dancing of the Waltz was lacking and didn't glide. Mia calls Joshua a football player trying to dance but that Katee was meant to dance.
Number: 1-888-83676-06

commercial

Pair: Chelsie Hightower & Mark Kanemura
Style:
Broadway
Choreographer(s):
Frickin' Tyce
Song: I'm A Woman from Smokey Joe's Cafe
Thoughts:
They did a great job with Tyce's crap. It was steamy!
Note Worth Move:
Major wardrobe malfunctions! The front of Chelsie's dress got stuck in the back of Mark's suspenders and she had to yank it out. Mark's suspenders kept falling down. I felt sorry for him.
Judges: Nigel calls it hotter than Vegas! Mary calls it sultry, sexy and bluesy. Mia says it was a success but said it showed Mark's lack of training and Chelsie needed to move more. Bitch better watch herself!
Number: 1-888-83676-01

Pair: Comfort Fedoke & Thayne Jasperson
Style: Contemporary

Choreographer(s):
Mandy Moore
Song: A Different Corner by George Michael
Thoughts: It was okay. I didn't really think that Comfort gave it her all. Thayne did but he always seems to. I don't think Comfort likes Thayne.
Note Worth Move: Comfort rolled herself into a pretty stunning lift.

Judges: Nigel would have liked to see a different couple dance it. Mary didn't believe it. Mia says that Comfort can only fake it so much but thinks Thayne is brilliant and so do I!
Number: 1-888-83676-02

commercial

Pair:
Jessica King & William Wingfield
Style:
Quickstep
Choreographer(s):
Tony Meredith and Melanie La Patin
Song:
Bandstand Boogie by Barry Manilow
Thoughts: The actual quicksteps moves were not good. The judges will love it.
Note Worth Move:
Will opens the number with about 50 back flips.
Judges: Nigel thinks everything was great except for the Quickstep part. Mary picks on Will's jacket. Mia is sad and says Will looks tired of carrying her and says he needs a new partner. SLAM! They keep on telling Jessica that she needs more confidence and then they slam her face into the ground. Poor girl.
Number: 1-888-83676-03

Pair: Courtney Galiano & Gev Manoukian
Style: Jazz

Choreographer(s):
Mandy Moore
Song: Standing There by The Creatures
Thoughts: Another outstanding routine! I love them and I love Mandy Moore.
Note Worth Move: Courtney flips Gev by his neck.

Judges: Nigel thought it was a bit of fun. Mary thought it was rough and raw and loved it. Mia says they had a great night tonight. She calls them one of her top couples.

Keep politics away from my dancing...especially the Crypt Keeper!

Pair:
Kherington Payne & Twitch
Style: Smooth Tango

Choreographer(s): Alex de Silva
Song: Assassin's Tango from that horrible movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith YUCK!
Thoughts: It seemed forsed just like the movie! In my book, they nailed it! HA-HA! I didn't really like it. This wasn't their night.
Note Worth Move:
Kherrington did a handstand into a over the back lift.
Judges: Nigel says it wasn't honest and that Twitch look uncomfortable and calls it his worse. Kherrington didn't have the passion. Mary loved the begining and the end but not the middle. Mia didn't think they were committed to the number.
Number: 1-888-83676-05

commercial

Pair: Katee Shean & Joshua Allen
Style: Bollywood

Choreographer(s):
Nakul Dev Mahajan
Song: Dhoom Taana from Om Shanti Om (Soundtrack)
Thoughts:
That was fun and a nice change. From the Indian videos I've seen, they did a pretty good job.
Note Worth Move: They didn't really nail the knee spins and I hope they didn't accidentally throw a gang sign.
Judges: Nigel babbles on a bit too long. Mary does some math and Mia
Number: 1-888-83676-06

They want Jessica, Thayne and Comfort gone.

I got a little tired at the end.

Top:
Courtney Galiano & Gev Manoukian - Cha Cha

Really Good:
Chelsie Hightower & Mark Kanemura - Salsa
Chelsie Hightower & Mark Kanemura - Broadway
Courtney Galiano & Gev Manoukian - Jazz

Good:
Katee and Joshua - Vienesse Waltz
Katee and Joshua - Bollywood
Comfort Fedoke & Thayne Jasperson - Hip Hop

Not so good:

Jessica King & William Wingfield - Quickstep
Kherington Payne & Twitch - Krump
Kherington Payne & Twitch - Smooth Tango
Comfort Fedoke & Thayne Jasperson - Contemporary

Down Right Awful:
Jessica King & William Wingfield - Contemporary

I wish that Comfort and Jessica would go home tomorrow but they won't do that. I think it will be Thayne and Jessica going home.

Who are your picks?

Double the Dancing, Double the Fun!

I just found out that my husband will be coming home early tonight. Normally that's a really good thing but not on Dance night! He's going to make fun of everything...turd!

BTW - not a big winner.

Anyway, on with the show!

I'm not sure what in the hell Cat is wearing tonight! If it was red, I would have thought she was going for the naughty elf look.

The only thing that makes me dislike a person faster than if they talk about themselves in the third person (Celine Dion, I'm looking at you) is if they wear a shirt with their name on it...and point it out. This is at least the third time that Will has done that. That's okay, I don't really like him any way.

NappyTabs is/are the guest judge(s) tonight.

I'm skipping the background nugget tonight since they really aren't going to have anything. 14 dances in two hours!!!

Pair: Jessica King & William Wingfield
Style:
Jive
Choreographer(s):
Tony Meredith and Melanie LaPatin
Song: Choo Choo Ch'Boogie from Five Guys Named Moe
Thoughts: Guess what, I didn't like it. I think Jessica is holding Will back. She seemed to make a ton of mistake tonight. They may be in danger tonight since this dance sucked and they are first.
Note Worth Move:
They did a cool thing where Jessica went on Will's back and then curled up in between his legs and ended standing up. That made my jaw drop for a second.
Judges: Let's see how the pimping goes. Tab decides to relive the past. Nappy liked the cool lift too. Mary doesn't pimp them and says they missed a lot of stuff. Nigel liked Will's bounce but didn't like Jessica's. They want Jessica to go away.
Number: 1-888-83676-01

commercial

Pair: Comfort Fedoke & Thayne Jasperson
Style: Broadway

Choreographer(s):
Andy Blankenbuehler
Song:
Cool by Bernstein and Sondheim
Thoughts: Can I just say that I LOVED it! I thought I didn't like Broadway, turns out I just don't like Tyce doing Broadway. This Andy dude is awesome. I thought it was hot and sexy. It seemed to suit Thayne better but Comfort held her own and look hot as well!
Note Worth Move: They did this under-the-arm-with-the-leg-and-back move that was very sexy and fluid and hot.

Judges: Tab thinks it's a good match and was loving it. Nappy liked to move I liked too...again! Mary enjoyed it and is proud of Comfort. Nigel says it wasn't good enough. BOO!!!!
Number: 1-888-83676-02

Pair: Kourtni Lind & Matt Dorame
Style: Hip Hop
Choreographer(s):
Cecily & Olisa
Song: How Do I Breathe by Mario
Thoughts: They don't want Jessica gone, they want Matt and Kourtni gone. I mean Hip Hop?!? Come on! If they were going to have them do Hip Hop, they could have at least given them a fighting chance and had NappyTabs do it. I'm not sure what Cecily and Olisa have done besides this show but they should stick to that. That sucked.
Note Worth Move: everything was boring and seemed too slow
Judges: Tab tries to be nice. Nappy says it's not good enough. Mary doesn't think it happened. Nigel doesn't know if it's the choreography or the dancers but he didn't like it.
Number: 1-888-83676-03

commercial

Pair: Chelsie Hightower & Mark Kanemura
Style:
Jazz
Choreographer(s):
Mandy Moore
Song:
Kiss Kiss by Holly Vance

Thoughts:
That was great! I loved it because I love them and Mandy Moore. It was a fun routine and I'll be adding that song to my iTunes tomorrow! Mark gets hotter every show.
Note Worth Move:
Quick hand moves and lots of kissing.
Judges: Tab says they are able to tell whatever story they are given and Nappy agrees. Mary screams and says she just loved it! Nigel says it just worked and that they had a connection and calls them magic together. I agree!
Number: 1-888-83676-04

Pair: Kherington Payne & Twitch
Style: Paso Doble

Choreographer(s): Tony Meredith and Melanie LaPatin
Song: Malaguena
by Brian Setzer
Thoughts: I thought it was pretty good at first and then I thought I was just getting caught up in the music and the lighting. I don't know. They have plenty of fans and will not be in the bottom three.
Note Worth Move:
Kherrington was on Twitch's shoulders...again.
Judges: Nappy and Tab both think Twitch came into character half way through but Kherrington had it all the way. Mary calls it full of passion but just okay. Nigel was entertained but doesn't think Twitch held up his end.
Number: 1-888-83676-05

commercial

Pair: Katee Shean & Joshua Allen
Style: Contemporary

Choreographer(s):
Mia Michaels
Song:
Hometown Glory by Adale
Thoughts:
Contemporary sometimes confuses me and this was one of those times. It seems like it should have been sad but it didn't make me sad. I watched it twice and thought that Katee was better but that Joshua held his own.
Note Worth Move: Still unsure about this one.
Judges: Tab says they owned it. Nappy says it told a great story and loved the assisted run. Mary says they haven't messed up one time. Nigel says it was fancy and history making.
Number: 1-888-83676-06

Pair: Courtney Galiano & Gev Manoukian
Style: Hip Hop

Choreographer(s):
Cecily & Olisa
Song: Lights, Camera, Action! by Mr. Cheeks
Thoughts: The rumors were true and Courtney did a better job then Gev. I still like these two and will still be voting for them but I hope they do better on their next dance.
Note Worth Move: Courtney had some sick poppin' at the end...or it could have been lockin'...or maybe even breakin'
. I don't know but I liked it.
Judges: Nappy calls Courtney ghetto and doesn't think Gev kept up with her. Tab calls some of the move bouncy. Mary is feeling it 50-50. She doesn't think Gev hit it hard enough and that Courtney killed it. Nigel calls it fun and funky but not really hip hop. I think it was the crappy choreography. I can't believe I'm about to say this...they should bring Dan Karaty back.
Number: 1-888-83676-07

commercial

Pair: Jessica King & William Wingfield
Style:
Lyrical Jazz
Choreographer(s): Mandy Moore

Song: Alone by Heart
Thoughts: This was better then their first dance. I would have preferred a little more mystery to whether or not the couple was going to have sex but that might be just me. I'm sure plenty of people will vote for them just because Will was shirtless.
Note Worth Move:
They did a lot of things with a shirt.
Judges: Tab tells Will to keep his shirt off. Nappy tells Will he can fly to the top of the competition. Jessica gets smashed again. Mary calls it fire and screams. Mary missed the memo about bashing Jessica and instead, puts them on the Hot Tamale Train. Nigel continues with the pimping of Will and the bashing of Jessica.
Number: 1-888-83676-01

Pair: Comfort Fedoke & Thayne Jasperson
Style: Smooth Waltz

Choreographer(s):
Edward Simon (new dude)
Song:
Hov Arek Sare Jan by New Age Armenia
Thoughts: This was great as well, actually better then the fist dance IMO. I bought the story hook line and sinker. I didn't cry at the end but I did get a little misty.
Note Worth Move: Comfort was on his shoulders while he was turning. Then he lifted her above his head and continued to turn. He THEN brought her down and held her while he continued to turn.

Judges: Nappy says he really enjoyed it. Tab says Comfort looked like an angel. Mary loved it. Nigel loved the lift too.
Number: 1-888-83676-02

commercial

Pair:
Kourtni Lind & Matt Dorame
Style: Mambo
Choreographer(s):
Alex de Silva
Song: Ban-Con-Tim by Super All-Star
Thoughts: They really want Matt and Kourtni gone. Did you see that long lift? Kourtni isn't big by any one's definition but she's not 5 foot nothing and 80 pounds. It was better then the hip hop but they are in trouble which sucks!
Note Worth Move: way too long of a lift at the beginning.
Judges: Tab tries to be nice again. Nappy says it was too smiley. Mary calls Kourtni hot but Matt not. Nigel says it has to be stronger and then yells at the audience for booing.
Number: 1-888-83676-03

Pair: Chelsie Hightower & Mark Kanemura
Style: Foxtrot

Choreographer(s):
Edward Simon
Song:
It's My Life by Paul Anka
(cover of Bon Jovi song)
Thoughts:
It started out kinda of boring but it really picked up at the end with all the lift and the final set of moves was amazing. They're safe. Also, I love quirky covers and I'll be adding that song to my iTunes tomorrow too!
Note Worth Move:
she flipped over top of him.
Judges: Tab points out that Chelsie had a feather in her mouth for quite a bit of the routine and she didn't let it affect her. They showed a close-up and it was hysterical! Nappy says they loove like they love to dance and love to dance with each other. Mary says they pulled it off and calls it classy. Nigel didn't think Mark was very good. Mary then yells at Nigel...a lot.
Number: 1-888-83676-04

Pair:
Kherington Payne & Twitch
Style: Contempory

Choreographer(s): Mia Michaels
Song: Dreaming With A Broken Heart
by John Mayer
Thoughts: I'm misty again. That was pretty good. In fact, I'd call it the best of the night. One thing, too many roses.
Note Worth Move:
used a bed...and too many roses.
Judges: Tab calls it awesome, awesome, awesome, awesome! Nappy says it had so many amazing moments. Mary screams and says Mia out did herself. Nigel made me laugh!!
Number: 1-888-83676-05

Pair: Katee Shean & Joshua Allen
Style: West Coast Swing

Choreographer(s):
Benji Schwimmer, Lacey Schwimmer and Patty (I didn't find a website for Patty)
Song:
Shake It by Brother Yusef
Thoughts:
That kinda sucked. The music was too slow and there wasn't enough energy. They missed some moves too.
Note Worth Move: she hip bumped him across the stage.
Judges: Tab says that Katee was great. Nappy calls Joshua a giant peppermint. Mary enjoyed it. Nigel says they adapted to the style. And so the pimping of Joshua continues.
Number: 1-888-83676-06

Pair: Courtney Galiano & Gev Manoukian
Style: Broadway

Choreographer(s):
Andy Blankenbuehler
Song: New York, New York by Bernstein, Comden and Green
Thoughts: That wasn't too bad but not as good as the first Broadway routine tonight. I thin they wil be safe anyway.
Note Worth Move: cute fall at the end
.
Judges: Tab believed them. Nappy says Gev found his nitche. Mary thought it was great and strong and believe. Nigel cals them tiny underdogs and says that this style is perfect for them...the tiny people.
Number: 1-888-83676-07

Another great show. They really want Jessica, Kourtni and Matt gone.

Top:
Kherington Payne & Twitch - Contemporary

Not so good:

Jessica King & William Wingfield - Jive

Katee and Joshua - West Coast Swing

Kourtni Lind & Matt Dorame - Hip Hop

I think it will be Matt and Kourtni going home tomorrow. BOO!!!!

SYTYCD - Results

My husband is home tonight and was playing poker. I only have a few moments to let you know who went home.

I was right!!!

Slutty Teacher and Marquis are history. I got all the points in the office pool this week!

I'll do a longer recap tomorrow.

Love ya!!

You Make Me Feel Like Dancing

I'm not sure how they are going to top last week but they have to. We still have a loooooong way to go!

Cat is looking fabulous as always in a little black number with furry stuff on the bottom. All the dancers tried to touch the furry stuff while Cat ran saying "No, no, no"! Holy crap! Cat is introducing the judges and Mia has gone shockingly blond while Mary has stuffed herself ala Paula Abdul into a leopard print dress that a woman her age shouldn't even look at much less wear. Oh! And she also raided Wilma Flintstone's jewelry box for the two necklaces she's wearing. Nigel went out on a limb and is wearing a pink shirt.

Cat asks Mia how she thought the dancers did last week and Mia makes up a word...Banoodles. Which means insane. I'll use it in a sentence: Mia Michaels is banoodles.

This week the dancers are going to be telling us what their partner's best and worst characteristics are. If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be.

Pair: Chelsea Traille & Thayne Jasperson
Style: Jazz
Choreographer(s):
Mandy Moore!!!!!
Song: Untouched by The Veronicas
Background Nugget: Thane is superstitious and Chelsea over sleeps.
Thoughts: It was about a king and his forbidden love. I will have to say that it was not my favorite Mandy Moore routine by a mile. I'm not sure what happened. It had some nice parts but a lot of it seems disjointed. Maybe it was just me.
Note Worth Move: Nothing that made me go "WOW"
Judges: Mia saw what I saw and said it better than I did. Mary doesn't like it and didn't believe it. Nigel agrees with Mia and Mary. He also doesn't like the outfits and proceeds to bash them...the outfits that is. Although he is hard on the dancers as well.

Mi Confesion by Gotan Project
Background Nugget:
Chelsie smells good. Mark is quirky.
Thoughts:
That was much better than the first dance. There was a lot of fancy foot work and Mark was pretty steamy. I do think they missed a lift towards the end but I'm not positive. (Chelsie's pinkie toe came out of her shoe so Cat got down, undid her shoe and fixed it!)
Note Worth Move:
TONS of fancy footwork.
Judges: Mia is in love with them and calls it fantastical. Mary loved it and says it was on point. Nigel would have liked it a little sleazier but good job.

Style:
Hip Hop
Choreographer(s): Cecily & Olisa
Song:
Whatever U Like by Nicole Scherzinger
Background Nugget:
Jessica has inner turmoil. William is too serious.
Thoughts: hummmmm. I'm not sure what to think about that. I don't know if I didn't like it because I really don't like them or if I didn't like it because it was good. It didn't seem to hit hard enough for me. GREAT! Now I sound like Dan Karaty! YUCK!
Note Worth Move:
Nothing.
Judges: Mia called Jessica a cheerleader and basically calls Will a dance god. Mary agrees with Mia. Jessica = bad. Will = god. Nigel thinks that Jessica did a really good job and predicts that Will will be in the final four. I hope not. I guess I didn't like it because I don't like them.

Pair: Kourtni Lind & Matt Dorame
Style: Foxtrot
Choreographer(s): Jean-Marc Genereux (his daughter has Rett Syndrome)
Song: A Foggy Day (In London Town) by Michael Buble
Background Nugget: Kourtni has the best eyes. Matt is a bad singer. I think Matt looks like Doug.
Thoughts: I really liked it! I smiled the entire time. It was graceful and light. They really made it look easy. I like these two. They are actually normal sized people.
Note Worth Move: Kourtni fell straight back and Matt caught her head when it was only about a foot or two from the floor!
Judges: Mia said it was great old Hollywood and thought Matt was great. Mary loved the choreography but calls the rest a mixed bag and is disappointed. Nigel, however, is not disappointed. He comes very close to calling Kourtni fat then pulls it back and says it because she's tall.

Pair: Courtney Galiano & Gev Manoukian
Style: Contempory

Choreographer(s):
Mandy Moore
Song:
Lost by Anouk
Background Nugget:
Courtney is pretty but has a boyfriend. Gev is strong but kinda short.
Thoughts:
Loved it! It was pretty hot and they danced it well. I'll be voting for them!
Note Worth Move:
Lots of cool lifts.
Judges: Mia loved the choreography. She thinks that Courtney jazzed it but she was proud of Gev. Mary loved it and screams! (I can't stand her outfit.) Nigel thought they dances it well but didn't believe the emotion. Cat calls them the cutest little pocket couple. I love Cat.

Pair: Katee Shean & Joshua Allen
Style: Broadway

Choreographer(s):
Tyce Diorio
Song:
All For The Best from Godspell
Background Nugget:
Katee does a stupid dance when she wants to be funny. Joshua nit picks.
Thoughts:
Bummer. I didn't really care for it all that much but Nigel LOVED it. He was out of his chair and dancing around before Cat asked him a thing. I'm not big on Broadway.
Note Worth Move:
Nothing, just lots of running around and Jazz Hands.
Judges: "That''s what I've been waiting for all night!" said Nigel. He calls it entertainment at it's best. Mary screams and loved every second. Mia calls it amazing.

Pair:
Susie Garcia & Marquis Cunningham
Style: Salsa
Choreographer(s):
Alex de Silva
Song: Aguanile by Willie Colon & Hector Lavoe
Background Nugget: Susie has lots of energy and dangerous hair. Marquis is a goofball and always eats.
Thoughts: I kind of feel sorry for Slutty...I mean Susie. Alex slammed her with his comment: "She's not a Salsa dancer, she's a street dancer." Oh no he didn't! I didn't think they really got it. Marquis seemed to do better than Susie. Her outfit didn't help her at all either but, then again, that's nothing new.
Note Worth Move: She was on his shoulders and then he smacked her leg and spun her around his head.
Judges: Mia wasn't crazy about the performance and expected more from Susie. Mary says it isn't working for her either. Nigel says it should have been fiery and that there were many things wrong with it.

Pair: Kherington Payne & Twitch
Style: Viennese Waltz

Choreographer(s): Jean-Marc Genereux
Song: A New Day Has Come
by Celine Dion
Background Nugget:
Twitch wears frames. Kherington kicks him. They talked about Jean-Marc's daughter and how this dance is for her. (For more info, see link above.)
Thoughts:
If you know me, you know that I hate me some Celine Dion so this is a strike against them before they make a move. Well, it was pretty good but the lifts seemed shaky. It was also pretty. The outfits were great and Kherrington looked beautiful!
Note Worth Move:
Shaky lifts, to me any way.
Judges: Mia thanks Jean-Marc. Mia didn't like Kherrington smiling the whole time. Nigel steps in and calls Kherrington beautiful. Then they talk about Jean-Marc's daughter and everyone starts crying...including me. Mary is a mess and cries. Nigel gives has a history lesson on the Viennese Waltz. After ten minutes of that, he called in beautiful and amazing.

Pair: Comfort Fedoke & Chris Jarosz
Style: Krump

Choreographer(s):
Lil'C
Song:
Come an Get Me by Timbaland
Background Nugget:
Comfort is versatile and a fast talker. Chris is humble and sweaty.
Thoughts:
It was okay but nothing special. She was way better then he was but that was expected. The music was annoying! There was so much cut out of it due to language that it was distracting.
Note Worth Move:
Nothing
Judges: Guess what? Mia loved the choreography! I'm shocked. She loves Comfort and thinks the Chris pulled it off. Mary thought that Comfort could have hit it harder but she blow Chris away. Nigel says his Granny is more gangster than Chris. He even goes so far to stand up and grabs his junk. Nigel expected more from Comfort.

Overall, this show was not as good as last week. Putting them in order is a little harder this week.

Top:
Chelsie Hightower & Mark Kanemura

Really Good:
Courtney Galiano & Gev Manoukian
Kourtni Lind & Matt Dorame
Kherington Payne & Twitch

Good:

Katee and Joshua

Not so good:
Chelsea Traille & Thayne Jasperson
Comfort Fedoke & Chris Jarosz
Susie Garcia & Marquis Cunningham
Jessica King & William Wingfield

I think it will be Marquis and the Slutty teacher going home tomorrow.

One more thing, I was thinking about writing less this week but I kind like this format so I think I'll stick with it. I don't have a life anyway so it's not taking me away from anything important.

(Before the show, I was over at The Pop Eye and BeckEye posted an old video of Leo Sayer singing "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing", hence the title of this blog!)
