Calling All Idol Fans

I wanted to share with everyone my favorite Idol blogs and sites. I read them all the day after an Idol night. Some of them are not in full swing yet (like mine) because it's just auditions but they will be in full Idol mode soon.

The Woes and The Prose of An American Idol Junkie
Jennifer's blog was the first AI blog I ever read and, therefore, is close to my heart. She doesn't really start full force until the Semi-Finals but she is well worth the wait.

MJ's Big Blog
All American Idol All the Time - MJ spends the entire year posting about all things Idol (great for videos in case you miss a show)

The Pop Eye (by Beckeye)
She covers everything worth covering in pop culture. She is also getting very handy at PhotoShop (be sure to check out her profile picture)

High Lord Dave's Blog
Right now, he is on a cruise with his wife but he'll be back soon. He makes up funny names for the contestants and is the unofficial keeper of the Idol Commandments (which he hasn't posted yet due to the cruise thing).

Vote for the Worst
NOT FOR THE EASILY OFFENDED - This is also not a site for those of you who take this TV show seriously. The recaps are entertaining and colorful. This is the site that loves to hate Idol. They also claim responsibility for keeping Sanjaya around so long (and I think they were).

Yes, I'm Addicted Too
Last year it was Ian watching the show with his mom. This year, it looks like he has moved out with his brother. I'm sure we'll know what his brother thinks about all this as well.

Then there is my blog (I'm re-posting this note there as well)!
The Winchester Mantoni's...And Other Stuff
I'm taking a queue from Jennifer and not live blogging until the Semi-Finals (but I'm thinking of starting during Hollywood Week).

I hope all you Idol fans enjoys these blogs. Remember to leave comments. We bloggers live for comments!

Thanks-
Kristi

I've Been Saved!

Luke over at archshrk (go take a peek) gave me all of my links!!! I'm so happy! Thank you, Luke! I am still going to make some changes this weekend and roll out a whole new look on Sunday. I'm sure you are all very excited and can't wait. In the meantime, you'll have to put up with this old, boring look.

Project Runway starts it's new season tonight. Since it is also So You Think You Can Dance night, I'll be watching Project Runway (and Shear Genius) sometime this weekend. Thursday is my husband's night off so he will be playing poke online. Hey! Maybe we can win in Vegas and buy another laptop! Ya' think? Friday is diner with the family. Saturday is shopping and laundry day. I REALLY shouldn't call it laundry day because laundry takes me a total of 20 minutes to do. A ten minute drive to drop the clothes off and then another ten minute drive (plus about $30.00) to pick them up. It's the only way to wash your clothes! In other words, after tonight, I won't be here until Sunday unless something drastic happens.

Well, I have 15 minutes until air time!!! I need some more tea and a bathroom break!

I'm Screwed!!!

I am so screwed! If you come here enough, you should have noticed the list of blog that I HAD on the right of my blog. It took me a long time to get all of those! I was trying out a different look for my blog yesterday and, even though I did not keep the changes, I only previewed, all of my links are gone! History! Kaput! I even kept a copy of what I changed just in case. I don't know what happened but now I've got a lot of work ahead of me! YUCK!

If your blog was once listed over to the right in that big nothingness, leave me a comment so I can get you back up there.

Thanks!

Hey! I just realized that I can now have the half naked man if I want!!! The reason I didn't get it was because I'd have to redo everything...silly me!

This may just be a good thing! New look, here I come!

How do you do this?

I've been debating back and forth about how to answer comments left here. I don't have a set method but if it's a comment from another blogger, I go to their blog, read it, comment on it and then answer their comment from my blog. If it's someone I know that doesn't have a blog, I either email, or comment on mySpace or Facebook. Sometimes I think I should answer them in the comments so that other people will see that I do comment back. The only draw back to that is I don't know if the people that leave comments will come back to read the follow-up.

So, my fellow bloggers, what do you do?

Holy Moley!!!

I LOVE Vote for the Worst!!! I was on their site earlier today and posted a few comments (about 4) with a link to this blog. Before I tell you what happened I should tell you that the most traffic I have ever had on my blog during one day is 35. So imagine my surprise when I pulled up my stat counter and saw the following.

OH! MY! GOD!!!! I think I peed myself a little!!

Thanks everyone for stopping by! Next time...leave a comment! The comment thing goes for my regular readers too!

Round the World Excitement!

Maybe that statement is too strong. Here's the map of people who have visited my blog since I added the stat counter 12 days ago.

That's not too shabby!!!

It's fixed!

I think my feed is fixed and my blog is up and running again! Well, it was never down I just had some settings wrong and never knew it. I'm ready for the next American Idol! Let's hope Luke blows everyone out of the water. I'd like to look at him for another week.

I can't believe what I did yesterday! This is the first time I did this since I quit smoking (see below). I was coming out of work talking to April and searching my pockets...for my cigarettes! I was shocked! I haven't done that since January 2nd when I started to try to quit. I guess I still need to keep my guard up since it doesn't seem to be out of my system yet!

You like me, you really like me!

I want to thank everyone for reading my email and dropping by! Sorry about the Sally Field quote but I thought it was kinda funny!

As soon as I can, I'm going to post my visitor map with all the little pins in it. It was cool to see the new pins and know that Paul (Denmark), Scott (Sioux Falls), and Neal (Cheyenne) stopped by! Speaking of Neal, he sent me this list of...

I'm a total loser!

I can't believe it's taken me THIS LONG to get back to blogging! What the hell was I doing?!?!

Well, most of my free time has been taken up by poker either online or live. I love that game! I'm starting to get better which is awesome. I had some great hands the last time I played live which is good because the time before that SUCKED!

Mike and I are enjoying our new place and living downtown to the fullest! The latest thing that we do is send our laundry out! We found a cheap place in town that will do our clothes. Mike drops them off in the morning on his way to work and I pick them up after work. Of course, I get stuck paying for them but I do get his entire paycheck so I guess that's okay. It took a little getting used to but I am no longer concerned with the knowing the name of the strangers that are now touching my underwear once a week!

I still plan to blog about Apple Blossom but I'm not sure when. I want to get back to blogging something AT LEAST once a week (I'm going to try for more but I don't want to promise anything).

So You Think You Can Dance (SYTYCD) is my summer love! If you're not watching it, you're a loser! Just kidding! But, if you're not watching it, you should check it out. The dancing, for the most part, is amazing. The host, Cat, is cute and fun (gets my vote over Ryan Seacrest any day). The judges are entertaining and really love what they are doing (unlike Simon). The choreographers rock! Mia and Wade are the best and always give the dancers the best moves! On elimination day (Thursdays) the dancers that are left do a group number at the beginning of the show which is awesome. The best SYTYCD blog is Ducky.

Speaking of blogs! I found a great one the other day. It's full of Passive-Aggressive Notes that people leave for others to read. The notes themselves are great but the comments are even better! Don't Skip The Comments!!!

It think that's all for now. I still have some time left before I have to cook dinner.

OH! I almost forgot! My step-son Brandon is going to be spending a lot of time with us this summer. Tonight marks the beginning of the first weekend so I can't tell you if it's a good thing or a bad thing yet. I can tell you that our new place is small and I'm not sure how I'm going to handle being alone with him tomorrow night but we shall see. I already have to tell him to stay out of the porn section of the Newsstand! The Newsstand is right next door to where I work and a co-worker of mine already saw him going into that section today! I think he's been in town less than 2 hours. I guess I should also tell you that he's autistic which is kind of hard. He's not a lot autistic, he's just a little bit. Humor is mostly lost on him especially sarcasm which is my personal weapon of choice! I'll keep you posted.

Take care all and it feels good to be back!!
