We're down to the wire, people! Our time together is getting short and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! I won't have to blog about this show again!! Celllllll-a-brate Good Times, Come on!
We're down to the final three, Casey, Crystal and Lee. I'm pretty sure everyone things that Crystal and Lee are going to be the final two because I do too. There is a little part of me that hopes Casey can make it in there. He's so purty! Sine there are only three tonight, I'm expecting them to do two songs. Remember when they would do three?
Casey got the deadman's spot so he's history. Bummer. I haven't heard this song before but I think it suits Casey. Kind of a blues-y rock vibe. Randy wanted to hear something unique but didn't. Ellen makes jokes. Kara faults the song choice. Simon calls it a salad and a dud.
I'm going to get me some strawberries!
Crystal is borrowing another song from my karaoke song list. I'm not sure if the harmonica was such a good idea. It gets in the way. I liked it but it wasn't anything exciting. Randy didn't like the arrangement (me neither) but he did like the vocal. Ellen thinks Melissa would be proud. Kara agrees with the "GUYS" again. Simon didn't think it was a stunning version of that song.
Lee is singing "Simple Man". Do I know this? I guess I'll find out. OH! Yeah, I know this! Good song. Is it just me or is this the best Lee has ever sounded? I'm liking this! Best out of the three so far. He actually looks like he should be up there. Randy thinks Lee feels like he could win it. I think I'll have to agree with Randy. Ellen makes funny again. Kara has really bad hair again. Simon calls it on the money and thinks Lee crushed the other two. To be honest, there really wasn't much to crush.
Randy and Kara picked a John Mayer song for Casey. This is putting me to sleep. Sorry, Casey. I don't think Vote for the Worst can save you after that. If it wasn't so cold in here, I would be asleep. BTW, what happened to the sun? I miss it! Randy thinks the song fit him like a glove. Ellen called it beautiful. Kara thinks he did a good job. Simon thinks it was a better song choice than his first one.
Ellen picked "Maybe I'm Amazed" for Crystal. She was pretty good, as always but she didn't beat Lee. Lee really doesn't need to sing another song tonight. Randy liked it as did Ellen. Kara thinks she pushed. Simon thinks Crystal showed that she has soul.
Lee is singing a song that should be banned. Simon understates it by saying that "we've heard this song before." I'm sure the judges are going to love it. They always do. OMG! They are pulling out all the stops for Lee. Stings and a chorus...is that even fair? I'm done.
They are pushing Lee to win the whole thing for some reason. It will be Lee and someone else next week with Lee winning it all. Stupid.
Well, my pericarditis seems to be back. I'm not up to blogging tonight. All I want to do is lay down and sleep. There is good chance that I will miss Idol AND Glee tonight. Since I won't be blogging, here are some blogs to check out:

Vote For The Worst
By Ken Levine
Enjoy!!! I'll see you next week for the final three!
The longest hour of television is about to start! The only thing I'm looking forward to is LADY GAGA!!!!
This has got to be the WORST lip-synching group performance EVER! It's ridiculous! OMG! Do the producers really think we're buying this? I am so done with this season.
Another stellar theme next week: Songs from the Cinema. I can't wait.
The behind the scene look is kinda neat. I like the fake judges.
After much babbling by Ryan and the contestants, we get to results. Lee is told to go to the center of the stage to get his recap along with more questions. I really need to drink on results night. Are there any drinking games out there? If I drink every time Ryan asks a stupid question, I'd be on the floor by the first commercial break.
After the voting, Lee is safe.
I love Lady Gaga and would LOVE to see her in concert. I'd imagine that I'd never see anything like it again in my life. I'm glad she does TV shows so that the majority of us that can't see her live get a little taste. Alejandro is not my favorite song by her but it's got a good beat. For those of you thinking that this was the first time two guys danced together on Fox, you would be wrong. There are been a couple of same sex couples on So You Think You Can Dance.
I know I mentioned it last night but Harry is hot!!
Not my type of music but he's still hot.
Another group sing. What did we do to deserve this?
Sorry, I fell asleep there for a minute. Did I miss anything? No? I didn't think so.
Crystal gets her recap and is sent to the piano.
Big Mike gets his recap and is sent to the near side of the stage.
Aaron gets his recap and joins Big Mike.
Casey get his recap and joins Crystal.
DAMN! They're trying to pull a George on Lee but he's not having any of it.
Mike and Aaron are in the bottom two which means Crystal and Casey are safe! WOW! I really thought that Casey was going home after that egg he laid.
We're back and it's Aaron taking a dive!
How many more weeks do we have of this?
Please go see Beckeye's Pre-show show!! I loved it!
Anyway, the song spoilers have leaked and Aaron is singing my wedding song!!!! That's just not right. Well, he's going first so there's a chance he'll go home tomorrow and that would be good.
That Harry Connick, Jr. is quite the hottie!! By far the best eye candy on the show.
Rob Reiner is in the house! I kinda think he looks like my dad. I don't have a good pic of my dad online. How can that be? I guess you'll just have to trust me on this one.
Harry arranged all of the idol's songs this week. DAMN! He's serious! Seriously HOT!! Wow! He's backing the Idol's too! He's earning his paycheck this week.
Have we become so vain as a society that we need LCD screens on the back AND the front of our cameras? I guess so because I'm thinking I need one of those!
Harry could be the best thing on Idol tonight. He's funny and I would love to get lost in those blue eyes.
As I already said, Aaron is singing my wedding song which is "Fly Me To The Moon". He is not doing a good job. The arrangement is different but since Harry did it, I love it. However, I did not love Aaron nor did I expect to (Sorry, Michelle). Randy thinks he did a good job. Ellen jokes with Harry and thinks Aaron pulled it off. Kara thought it was good but not as strong as last week. Simon agrees with Kara.
Casey gets some chair time with Ryan. Casey is singing without his guitar! OMG! He starts out shaky but it picks up. Wait, it's going south again. Sorry, Casey, but this was not good in my book. You're still hot. But Harry beats you tonight in that department. Randy calls it his worst performance. Ellen jokes with Harry again. WTF, Ellen?!?! How about concentrating on your review for once? Kara thinks she he had it at the end but thinks he sounded like a lamb. Simon says the band was great but Casey was embarrassed. That was why harsh. Harry comes to his rescue and says he was better in rehearsal.
Hannibal the Cannibal!!!
Crystal is singing "Summer Wind". Does she have a big back tattoo? Why yes she does. Crystal is the best tonight by far but that's not saying much. It's not my favorite from her but I liked it. Randy calls it sleepy. Ellen is impressed enough not to joke with Harry. Kara liked her. Simon loves the song and liked the last half better than the first half. Crystal needs to pick it up next week. Well, considering last weeks theme and this weeks theme, I'm thinking Idol better pick a better theme. Crystal does some talking back which may just earn her a trip to the bottom three tomorrow.
Big Mike is still here but should be home. He's singing "The Way You Look Tonight". I'm not digging the hat. It seems to make it instantly music theater. Meh. I wish he would go tomorrow but I think Casey is going to take that spot with little competition from anyone else. Randy says Mike is in it to win it. Ellen thinks he looked comfortable. Kara babbles. Simon calls it a tricky night but thinks Big Mike did better than everyone else. I don't think so but I don't like Mike.
Lee is doing "That's Life". I think he did a good job. Best of the night. I'm done for tonight. Glee is on soon and I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!
I think Casey is going home tonight (sorry, Bryan). What about you?
I know, the title is pretty groan-worthy but I couldn't help myself. Sometimes I'm a VERY big dork!
My favorite summer show is starting soon! So You Think You Can Dance will be starting up right after Idol is over. After trying to move the show to the fall and failing BIG TIME, SYTYCD is back where it belongs, in the summer, and what I wouldn't give to have the story end there. I think the fall failure snapped something in Nigel's head which made him decide to change EVERYTHING. Instead of ten girl and ten guys making it to the big show, getting paired up and kicked off two at a time, there will only be a top ten - total. I don't think there's a gender quote but there could be. After that, the top ten are paired with SYTYCD All-Stars that specialize in a certain type of dancing (i.e. Pasha = ballroom) and are kicked off one at a time. The All-Stars are past contestants. Now, I love (most of) the past contestants and I'm looking forward to seeing them again but I'm going to miss falling in love with a whole new group of kids. I also think that I'm going to be watching the All-Stars more than the new dancers. Well, I'm powerless to do anything about it so I guess I'll just hope for the best!
OMG! Did you see Spike on "Lie to me"!! I miss him!! I guess I'll have to start watching that show. Can anyone tell me if he has a big role? Is he on every week? CRAP!! He just got shot and killed! Oh well!
Now, onto Idol!
Last night was a pretty lackluster night. I think a broader country theme instead of just Shania Twain would have turned out better performances. Her "songbook" seems a little shallow.
I don't think I could call any performance the best of the night but I'm sure going to call Siobhan the worst. That final shriek was ear splitting! I don't think she'll be going home but I wish she would.
I took a peek at the DialIdol numbers and it looks like Big Mike is going to be the big loser tonight. I have no problem with that. I'm not a fan and don't really dig his type of singing. I know that people out there do but I know of no one personally.
I think Casey's good looks will save him again but if he doesn't change it up and doing something exciting, I could see him leaving either next week or the week after.
Lee has a big fan base and will be safe until the top three and, most likely, the top two.
The big "surprise" last night was Crystal. She was good but not as good as she has been. She may have to suffer a trip to the bottom three to atone for that un-MamaSox worthy performance.
Last but not least is Aaron. If he doesn't leave tonight, I look for him to depart either next week or the week after. There's a real good chance that he picked up Tim's votes and he'll make it tonight and next week but I don't see him making it past that.
As usual, I'll be posting as the action happens on the East coast!
Rascal Flatts is up first so I'm guessing no group sing. Rascal starts off a little bad, got better on the chorus and then went bad again. I won't be getting this from iTunes tomorrow I can tell you that. Not my cup of tea.
Tonight is going to be VERY long.
Ford video vamps. Only slightly better then the other videos.
Now they're advertising Shriek XXII.
And it doesn't end. Now Camron and Antonio are on the Idol stage.
Results...FINALLY! Three groups of two time. Siobhan is first to get her recap and question and is sent to the far side of the stage.
Aaron is next and is sent to the center of the stage.
Big Mike is next with the recaps and question to Simon. Big Mike goes to the close side of the stage.
Lee is sent to join Siobhan.
Casey joins Big Mike.
Crystal joins Aaron in the middle.
I think Lee and Crystal have something going on.
Ryan is playing shuffle the Idols, puts Siobhan with Big Mike and Casey and pronounces them the bottom three. The others are safe.
Harry Connick, Jr. will be the mentor next week for Sinatra week!
Sons of Sylvia are up now and I'm pretty sure this isn't live. What I'm not sure of, is what's up with the sound? It's really bad. I'm not that excited about these guys but they do seem to have an 1980's flair that I could start digging.
Great. Now it's Lady Antebellum. I am so sick of this song. It's on XM20 ALL THE TIME.
HOLY CRAP! Now it's Rascal Flatts AGAIN but this time with Shakira. Will this night ever end??? NOW Ryan has to talk to her!
More results....no wait...more questions. *sigh*
Big Mike is save.
Could Siobhan REALLY be going home???
It's Siobhan going home!!!!
Woo hoo!!!!!!!!!!
Tonight, it's Idol first with the Shania Twain Songbook. Is there such a thing? I can think of three songs she's famous for, "Any Man of Mine", "Who's Bed Have Your Boots Been Under", and "Man, I Feel Like a Woman". If a guys sings that last one, I'm going to faint! Oh! I just thought of one more, "That Don't Impress Me Much". And how could I forget "Honey, I'm Home"! I use to sing that at Karaoke. Wouldn't that be funny if THAT was the song Crystal sang?!? She has a habit of singing my songs. Well, that's only five songs. I wonder what the last Idol is going to sing.
Ryan starts the show by reminding us what the Idols use to do. Glass blower would be an interesting job. He tells us that $45 million dollars was raised last week on Idol Gives back. That's pretty good.
Since when is Shania the Queen of Country? Isn't that Loretta Lynn or Dolly Parton?
Anyway, Lee is up first singing "You're Still The One".He starts it a little slow ad had me worried but he picked it up. It's nice. He'll make it to next week. I'm thinking final two for him. Randy thinks he did a pretty good job. Should I even bother typing what Ellen is saying? Kara says good job. Simon thinks it was the perfect song for Lee. Kara interrupted him and them he threw a hissy fit.
Big Mike is doing "It Only Hurts When I'm Breathing" Not sure what this song is but I'm sure Mike will slap some Theatre on it. He manages to keep the Theatre under control but it looks like it's a hard thing for him to do. Randy says "Stay who you are". Ellen felt it. Kara says he felt connected. Simon calls the performance "wet". Okay.
Brittany "I'm pretty sure my cat's been reading my diary." I love her!
Casey is singing "Don't". I DON'T know this one either. He's doing a pretty good job but the band kind of drowns him out at times. I think after last week in the bottom three, he's fan are going to be dialing and texting until their fingers bleed. Randy calls it the best Casey James ever. Ellen thinks that he should sings songs like this. Kara thinks he didn't hide. Simon thinks it's his best so far as well and tells him to kiss Shania on the lips. Shania gets up and hugs him but avoids lip contact. Casey sure looked like he wanted to kiss her! LOL.
Crystal is up and is she singing my song? Nope, it's "No One Needs To Know". Country is NOT her thing. She's not doing bad but it is no where near her best in my book. Don't get me wrong, she can sing. Country just isn't her thing. Randy loves her and glad she did a county version of the country song. Ellen says it wasn't her favorite. Kara agrees the the "guys". I thought she got the memo on calling Ellen a guy. Simon calls it limp and compares it to unwanted coffee shop entertainment. Ryan turns up the heat on Crystal's boyfriend. I'm assuming that he's the Baby Daddy. My advice, marry her before she gets famous and doesn't want you anymore.
OH!! They just had an anti-smoking commercial with an asthmatic kitteh. Another good reason to quit smoking! Save the kitteh! I'm sure this applies to doggies too.
Aaron is singing "You Got Away". I guess these songs are from the time that I didn't listen to country, 1995 to present. LOL! Just kidding! Is he wearing a Member's Only jacket? Okay, he is SO going home tomorrow. Yucky poo! Snoozefest to the nth degree. Bye Bye Aaron...it's about time. Randy must have heard something I didn't because he says he did a good job. Ellen reminds us that Aaron is REALLY young. Kara agrees with Ellen and talks about sex with the little kid. Simon liked it too. Bummer! I want him gone!
Last up is Siobhan with "Any Man Of Mine". She is so low energy. Even with all the clapping she doesn't seem excited about it and is just strolling around. OMG!! The horrible screaming final note is back. Randy, Ellen, and Kara loved it. Simon thought she was giving birth with that last note. Some people think she'll make the top three. I hope she leaves tomorrow. I don't think I'll get what I want since the Worsters are voting for her now that Timmeh is gone.
I hope that either Aaron, Big Mike or Siobhan go home tomorrow but, despite his "brush with death" last week, Casey might be hitting the road.
What do you think?
Ryan starts the show rather quickly since it's only a one hour show.
Can I just say....holy boobs Crystal!!! Whoa mama!!
Casey drew the Deadman's spot and he's singing "Don't Stop". I think that's right in his wheel house. I like his hair down better. I like the guitar playing but everything else is just alright. He keeps doing the same thing and it's getting old. He'll have a pretty good career I think but I don't think he'll win this show unless he starts doing something more. Randy agrees with me. Ellen like the guitar too. Ellen was a little harsh for Ellen. Kara has bed head. Simon doesn't think it was inspirational and called it lazy.
My washer is sounding REALLY bad right now! I'm wondering what the hell I put in it.
Lee is singing "The Boxer". I wish he wouldn't mumble so much. I caught a glimpse of something in his mouth. Was that spit or rubberbands??? I was distracted during the whole thing. Randy thinks he's an artist. Ellen says best performance by far. Kara thinks he had his moment. Simon calls it the best of the night. Simon did a funny. Simon also calls it brilliant.
Tim is trying "Better Days". Alright!! I was a little worried when he started but he pulled it off! Randy thinks it just sounded okay. Ellen didn't like him. Kara babbles on. Simon says he doesn't believe it and calls it a let down. I liked it. I'll be voting again. :) HEY! He was in the same spot last week.
Aaron is singing a song he's been singing since he was 5...which means he's been singing it for about 3 years. It's "I Believe I can Fly" and I believe that I'm going to puke. He REALLY looks like Rachel Maddow tonight. I really want someone to chop off the arms of all the girls in the idiot pits. He hit a bunch of glory notes so everyone loved it...except me. Randy thinks he did a good job. Ellen thinks he handled it real well. Kara compares it to flying. Simon pulls everyone back to reality and says he would turn it off if he heard it on the radio...ME TOO! Then again, I do that to the original as well.
People on Twitter didn't like Tim. Poo on them! Then again, if I'm honest with myself, I'm not going to buy this song or anything by anyone this season except for Crystal. It's just fun voting for Tim!
OMG!!! I can't wait for Glee!!!!!
Siobhan is going to rub her funk on some Whitney Houston. Siobhan is no Whitney Houston. Hell! Whitney Houston isn't even Whitney Houston anymore. What in the HELL is Siobhan wearing? Well, that was odd. Randy says it was just okay. I'm skipping Ellen. Kara needs to eat a sandwich. Simon didn't like it and didn't like the leaves butterflies. Siobhan babbles on about how she loves the song.
Big Mike is doing "Hero". I'm not sure if I should even say anything about this. It's pretty much the same thing he does every week just with the band a little louder. He doesn't float my boat and never will. Found out that my dad doesn't like him either. Randy thinks he worked it out. Ellen says great job. Kara didn't like it. Simon doesn't like that the song was from Spiderman.
Crystal just looked weird in the dress, with that hair, playing the air guitar...badly.
Crystal is singing "People Get Ready". Well, she won the night with the first 10 seconds!! I'm going to have to buy this one. Her mic stand is the one that she had shipped from home. GOOD LORD! She broke down and cried at the end. Randy says unbelievable. Ellen thinks she looks beautiful. Kara says she schooled all the contestants. Simon calls it inspirational.
Well, she won the night and is totally safe. I would mind seeing Lee, Big Mike or Casey go home. And I REALLY wouldn't mind it is Aaron or Siobhan left. I'd like Tim to stay because I like an underdog!
What do you think?
GLEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm watching in the new place, on the big TV, and in HD! No pausing tonight. I'll be live blogging the highlights in order to enjoy the return of Glee in HD!!
Remember, two people leave this week.
For more in depth coverage, please check the following blogs that I love:

It's Elvis night but since Elvis is dead, Adam is the mentor. I'm not sure if that makes sense but I do love Adam!!
Glee in the house!!!!!!!!!!! Oh! There's Sue, Mr. Shue, Principal Figgins, Arte, the jewish kid with the fuzzy hair, etc.
Crystal is up first and she's okay for me tonight but not my favorite from her. Randy loved it. Ellen says fantastic. Kara calls it solid. Simon.....FINN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Andrew is next and Adam calls him boring. Go Adam!! Well, I'm going out on a limb and saying that Andrew will be one of the kids going home tomorrow. He managed to completely suck the life out of Hound Dog. Randy says it was not good and didn't like it. Ellen thinks he pulled it off. She has got to leave after this season or grow a set. Ellen, it's okay to not like something. Kara thinks he didn't own it. Her hair is extra horrible tonight. Simon says it didn't feel like a star performance. He is so right. Andrew sucked and is going home tomorrow.
TIMMEH is next! I have to prepare my phone for power texting!
I think Ryan is dancing with a dude during Tim's performance. Well, I LOVED it!!! You go Timmy!!!! Randy liked it. Ellen enjoyed Tim and calls it beautiful. Kara says it was her favorite Tim performance. Simon calls it beautiful too and thinks he's gone from Zero to Hero in a few weeks.
Lee is goofing the song up! He's covering well. Didn't Daughtry hit this one OUT OF THE PARK? I'm pretty sure he did. This does not measure up. Randy thinks he's in the zone. Ellen says he made the song current. Kara thinks he went for it. Simon says it was on the money. Maybe I only thought he goofed it up. Oh well. I'm voting for Timmy anyway.
Aaron changed "liquor" to "cider". That's about the only thing I found interesting with his performance. I think he's in trouble. Randy got half of it. Ellen liked it. Kara liked it. Simon called it old fashioned.
Siobhan is singing one of my favorites! I'm over her. I think most of her songs seem the same, a little slow and a little sleepy until the big notes toward the end. Maybe Broadway is where she should be. Randy is sitting in front of Principal Figgins! I see Arte behind Ellen. Kara is confused and in front of Finn. Simon says something about a time machine and that he didn't like the first part.
Has Big Mike never heard In The Ghetto??? I find that a little hard to believe. It is also one of my favorites. It might even be first. I'm not digging Mike's version. Is anyone shocked by that? You shouldn't be. Way too many runs thrown in for my taste. Randy calls is sleepy but hot. Ellen is glad they saved him. They are running out of time and I can't remember what Kara or Simon said.
Katie is singing a song that I don't think I've ever heard of. Overall, I liked it but she was pitchy at times. Randy calls it very nice. Ellen makes a bad horn joke. Kara needs to wear clothes that don't look like they're falling off. Simon didn't like it.
Casey is last. It's not my favorite from him but he has nothing to worry about. He's hot! Randy calls it solid. Ellen loves his voice. Kara thinks it fell short. Simon calls it a wasted opportunity.
I think Aaron and Andrew are history tomorrow. What do you think?
I wasn't going to live blog right away but after that horrendous opening, how could I not?!?! It was a mash-up between a Clash of the Titans trailer and Idol recap with Simon made to be the kraken. First of all, that much cross promotion just turns viewers off and secondly, who is going to see the remake of that movie anyway? The original is the best and always will be. YUCK!!!
Well, all the kids are on the couches already so it looks like we will not be getting our group sing. Why do I continue to watch this show?
I'm skipping Reuben. I didn't start watching Idol until season three and only really care about Kelly from season one and no one from season two.
I'm skipping the Ford commercial too.
Let's get going already! Mike has a pink rattail for tonight. Crystal stopped playing the piano because the guitar was easier to carry around. Andrew's mom is in the audience. OMG! More Clash of the Titans. Give me a break.
Lee stands, is given his recap, answers questions from Ryan, and told to sit down because he is safe.
Casey is next. Recap, questions, safe.
Aaron is next. Recap, questions, Ryan and Simon banter, safe.
Siobhan and Katie stand together. Recap and questions for Siobhan. Recap and questions for Katie. Siobhan is safe. Katie is in the bottom three.
Woo hoo! I got one so far.
That little girl boy, Justin Beiber is in the audience. I'm excited. Can't you tell?
OMG! It's Usher singing OMG. Well, I don't think he's lip-syncing. Is it just me or or those dance moves a little corny? I'm just stunned. This might be on the same level with the horrible Ke$ha performance from a couple of weeks ago. When is Idol going to get a mentor that can actually sing?
Didi stands: recap, questions, bottom three. Yes! Two for two so far.
Big Mike stands sans pink rattail: recap, questions to the judges, after Ryan teases me, Big Mike is safe. Then he picks Ryan up ALL THE WAY into the air.
Crystal is next: recap and safe.
Tim and Andrew are left and asked to stand. Recap for Tim, questions for Kara, Tim has a great attitude! Andrew gets his recap and Tim is in the bottom three.
I called the entire bottom three!! Woo hoo for me!
Katie is sent back to safety now and it's just Tim and Didi in the bottom.
Diddy Dirty Money??? Hello, good morning? THIS is crappy lip-syncing at it's worst...or would that be best? How many seizures did this performance cause across America?
Okay! Do I REALLY have to continue blogging this year?? It sucks sooooo bad. I'm not sure I can do it any more. Let me know your thoughts.
OH! It's P. Ditty with Dirty Money! I thought that looked like P. Ditty. I guess he's just going by Diddy now? Whatever.
YES!!! Didi is going home!! I got everything right!!!!!!!!
Well, Didi is "in danger" of going home...damn Save. I'm sure the judges won't use it.
And I'm right! Didi is gone!
If you haven't guessed, Usher is the mentor for this week. I'm not really sure what he sings but I'm sure I must know AT LEAST one song of his. Maybe he'll sing that one tomorrow. In the meantime, we get to hear an R&B song from each of the top ten Idol contestants.
Before we get on with the show can I tell you how uninspiring most of these top ten contestant are for me. They suck! Other than Crystal and maybe Siobhan and Didi (and Didi is stretching it), the talent pool is pretty shallow. The only bright spot may turn out to be Tim, this season's Sanjaya. Now, no one can take Sanjaya's place in my heart (did you see him on "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!"? He was AWESOME!) but Tim might just out live him. If he does something over the top, energetic, fun and campy, he just might beat out Andrew (who is my pre-show pick to go home tomorrow). If that happens, I am going to firmly hop onto the Worster Wagon this year!
Okay, let's get this show over with.
I'm skipping the Usher-fest video package.
Siobhan - "Through the Fire" - 1-866-436-5701 - Usher give her fashion tips. She starts out a bit nasally but once the song picks up she REALLY goes off the rails!! Oh Boy! I could be wrong but that seemed like a train wreck to me. Let see what the judges say. Randy says it was all over the place but he loves her. Ellen agrees with Randy and thinks Siobhan got lost. Kara calls her out on her nerves and her screaming parts. Simon thinks she was out of breath and she was all over the place. Simon also said that he is getting bored with the screaming at the end. AMEN!
O M G ! Over 15 minutes into the show and we've only seen ONE singer! This must be the biggest filler night in the history of Idol!!
What the hell was that crappy look back stage thing? Let the poor girl cry in peace! Truly tasteless!
Casey - "Hold On, I'm Coming" - 1-866-436-5702 - He's hot! That was entertaining and fun. He's not going anywhere anytime soon. I think he forgot some of the words. Blondes look good in red. Did I mention that he's hot? I did?? Well, he is! He makes me dream of becoming a cougar. Randy calls it a hot not for him (and all the ladies too). Ellen says he's always good but calls it generic. Kara is surprisingly not drooling. Simon says it was his strongest week so far and was really impressed with him.
Okay, I may vote for the eye candy instead of Tim. Although, Tim looks pretty good without his shirt too.
But he's a little too young for me.....to be thinking about in THAT way.
I AM SO COLD!!!!! I can't wait to leave this apartment. I am going to LOVE having control over the heat. If it's cold, I can turn it up. If it's hot, I can turn it down OR turn on the AC. This winter has been worse that our first winter here when the furnace was broken and we had to use space heaters the entire time. At least then, we knew it was going to be cold. This winter, you just never knew what to expect when you opened the door. Freezer or sauna? Could be either one.
Mike - "Ready For Love" - 1-866-436-5703 - Mike just doesn't excite me. He does a good job but I was bored with it as I am with all of his performances. Randy says he's in the zone. Ellen calls it beautiful. Kara had never heard that song before. I'd expect that from Simon but not Kara. Simon says he can take Mike seriously now as an artist and thinks he had a "moment".
I'm hating the backstage clips.
Didi - "What Becomes of the Brokenhearted" - 1-866-436-5704 - Wow! This is boring. The "Tell Me" ending was weird! Randy thinks the performance flat-lined and he didn't get it. Ellen says it was not her best. Kara calls it overdone and that she can't put her in a hole. Simon says it was like swimming in jelly and agrees with Kara. OMG! Simon just compared Didi to the horrible singer/band that Dancing With The Stars has. That was below the belt, Simon! The DWTS band SUCKS all the time and Didi just sucked tonight (for me). After the horrible critics, Ryan tries to make Didi cry on live TV by grilling her about why the song means so much to her.
Oh BOY!!! Tim's next!!
Tim - "Sweet Love" - 1-866-436-5705 - I'm sorry, Tim. That was stiff and cheesy. I can't even look at him singing this song. He should have sang Rock with You or Human Nature or, really, ANYTHING else. The Worsters better be dialing with full force tonight. Randy calls him a singing waiter but that he was in tune. Ellen calls him adorable for the people drinking along at home and wonders why he picked that song. Kara says he took the soul out of the song. Simon thinks it doesn't matter what the judges say because he's going to smile, the audience is going to vote for him and he's going to be here next week.Tim is such a good sport! You can't help but like the kid.
Andrew - "Forever" - 1-866-436-5706 - I have to give it to him. That was the best he has ever been. My "going home tomorrow pre-show pick" might just be sticking around. Don't get me wrong, I'm still not a fan and, so far, Casey is the best of the night but I liked him better than the rest of the pack so far. This was a good night for him to have a good night. Randy calls it the best in a long time. Ellen says it was really amazing. Kara call it one giant leap in the right direction. Simon thinks it was miles better but thinks he is boring and need to show his personality.
Katie - "Chain of Fools" - 1-866-436-5707 - Katie looks like she went to Jerseylicious for her hair. What is up with the dress shorts? Paige wore something similar. Not a good look. She should have picked a different song. I was too distracted by her hair and her outfit to pay attention to her singing. OR is it that her singing didn't grab my attention away from her horrible look? Only my hairdresser knows for sure. Randy thinks it was disconnected but then calls it the best vocal of the night? WTF, Randy?!? Ellen calls her out on her Jersey hair too! Kara says it was her best vocal performance but need to make it young. Simon calls Randy crazy and Katie cold. Whatever.
Lee - "Treat Her Like A Lady" - 1-866-436-5708 - Wow! This is turning out to be a really good night on Idol. Lee ricked it out! He's best of the season. Good going, Lee! Randy calls it his best in weeks. Ellen calls it the best of the night. Kara says amazing. Simon believes in him and says this might have been the night when Lee's life changed forever.
Okay, as always Ryan and the judges wasted so much time in the beginning that they are now having to rush through the critics. That's not fair to the contestants. I have two words for you Idol Powers That Be: Time Management! Look it up!
Crystal - "Midnight Train to Georgia" - 1-866-436-5709 - I love this song (what else is new). She changes it up this week. She starts out at the piano and just when I was starting to get bored, she changes it up again and STANDS UP! Can you believe it?!?! Someone is standing and singing when they were just sitting and play the piano a second ago!! I'm shocked! Okay, there was too much hype surrounding her "changing it up". I wish she hadn't of said anything last week. Don't get me wrong, I liked it and I like her. I just wasn't blown away like I have been in the past. Randy likes the way she switched it up. Ellen says she is never not good. Kara says she was glad she took the risk. Simon says a ton of crap that I don't feel like talking about.
Aaron - "Ain't No Sunshine" - 1-866-436-5710 - What's with the hoodie and the plaid shirt?? Rocket Boy is not doing that great. I wish someone else would have closed the show. He's good but it wasn't all that. Randy says it was just alright. Ellen makes an age joke and then says good job. Kara liked it but didn't love it.Simon calls it a cupcake.
My favorites of the night were Lee, Casey, Crystal (in that order). The bad ones were Siobhan, Didi, Tim and Katie (not necessarily in that order). Middle of the road were Andrew. Mike and Aaron (in that order). Now, who do I think is going home? That's a tough one but I think Becky may get her wish and Didi will go home. Then again, VFTW could have a bad night and Tim could go home. So, for my bottom three I pick Didi, Tim and Katie with Didi picking the short straw.
What say you, America?
I'm busy packing so I'm doing a shorten version of the results.
The group lip-sync is back.
Tim and Paige are in the bottom.
Miley sucks.
Crystal's legs are just as white as mine!
The last person in the bottom three is...KATIE!! Andrew is safe.
Katie is declared "On the Tour" and sent back to the couches.
A Jonas brother and some chick sing a very cheesy song.
And the person leaving us tonight is....Paige!
Before she sings, Simon tells her that they won't be using the Judge's Save tonight.
Go Tim!!! VFTW FTW!!!!!!
Good evening everybody! It's Tuesday and the wonderful weather we've been having for the past week is HISTORY! It is cold and damp outside and extra cold INSIDE. I'm so glad we're moving! I can't wait to have control over the temperature in our apartment. It seems like such a simple thing. 16 days until the move.
Here's some random items for my faithful readers.
1. My blog looks like crapola in Firefox for some reason. Looks fine in Chrome and Explorer. If any of you have a fix for this, I'm all ears.
2. Castle (the TV show that stars Nathan Fillion AND a friend of mine from high school - Jon Huertas) beat CSI: Miami last night!!! It was a really good episode. Part two is on next week.
3. I've been watching old episodes of Reba and ran across on that had Kelly Clarkson as the guest star! If you haven't seen it, you have to watch this clip from the end of the show.
Makes me miss Paula.
4. I am REALLY freezing and I don't want to do this tonight. grumble grumble grumble
5. The "mentor" for this evening is Miley Cyrus. Shouldn't they have someone that can sing? I guess that requirement went out the window last week when they had Ke$ha as one of the guest performers. Seriously, "Blah, blah, blah" was HORRIBLE! What was up with that headdress?
6. I just noticed that the new blogger editor doesn't have a spell check button. What the hell I'm I suppose to do??
7. Tim, the original Vote for the Worst pick, has a chance to make the tour! I think this would be the first time for their original pick to make the tour. Let me know if I'm wrong about that. And don't bring up Sanjaya, he wasn't their original pick that year, it was Sundance (remember him?).
Well, the show starts soon.
This is American Idol!
The kids will be singing Billboard #1's - I thought it was suppose to be Teen Idols? Whatever.
Lee - "The Letter" - 1-866-436-5701 - Good song to open the show with! I really like this song. Lee sang it well but I'm not sure if I'd vote for him. He didn't use the stage to his advantage and seem almost scared to move. This might be the first time he's been on the Idol stage without his guitar. Go back to the guitar, Lee. Also, there were moments when his dance moves reminded me just a smidge of Taylor Hicks. Randy "you know what's cool" Jackson says he knocked it out of the box. Ellen go on and on about her favorite pen. Hey! Kara is wearing blue! Didn't I say she should wear blue this week? HA HA! Simon is surprised that Lee picked that song. Simon, did you miss the fact that the guy that wrote the song died very recently? Maybe that's why Lee picked it. It's been played every time Alex Chilton is mentioned. Simon also says it didn't define Lee as a contemporary artist.
Paige - "Against All Odds" - 1-866-436-5702 - Come on, Paige. Really? HOW many songs did you have to pick from? Do you WANT to go home? Okay, she is really pitchy! She wants to go home. Why else would she sing this song, this badly. I have no idea. I think she might cry. She hit a few good notes but too many, many bad ones. She should go home. Randy says it was terrible, honestly terrible. Ellen says she didn't fall in the heels. Kara's hair looks better. Mariah sang this song? Kara calls it the worst of the season. Simon asks Paige how she thought she did and she didn't cry. I would have. Simon says it was all over the place.Simon and Kara both say that she stopped competing weeks ago and they are right. I felt that after the first week.
Tim - "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" - 1-866-436-5703 - I love Queen! This is not my favorite Queen song but it will do. He slid across the floor! Now he's in the mosh pit. He is living it up!! Come on, America! Vote for this crazy little kid called Tim! Not the best but Paige was the worst so he's good. Randy calls the vocals boring (he's right). Ellen says it felt like an audition for High School Musical. Kara thinks little girls will love it. Simon says it was pointless and silly. I still want him to make the tour. LOL
Aaron - "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" - 1-866-436-5704 - How cute! Aaron has a crush on Miley. Awww! He gets the fog/smoke machines. He is REALLY nervous and you can hear it in his voice. Tonight feels like Karaoke Night at the Apollo. It's good karaoke but it's still karaoke. Randy says there was some pitch issues but that he sang. Ellen jokes that he's in third grade! LOL! Kara calls it the best song choice of the night. BTW, her hair looks better than it did last week. Simon calls it brave. All judges remind us that Aaron is sick.
Crystal - "Me and Bobby McGee" - 1-866-436-5705 - Why does she alway pick songs I sing?? I guessing that I'm going to like it. Boy she makes this look easy! Best of the night by a MILE! If she doesn't win, it will be a shame! I'm buying whatever she is selling! My only complaint was that we saw way too much of her teeth. Randy calls her a star and says she slayed it! Ellen doesn't make any sense with her comments on this one. Kara chats with Crystal about stuff. Simon says he wouldn't change anything! He also says that, up until now, it's been Karaoke night.
Mike - "When a Man Loves a Woman" - 1-866-436-5706 - He can sing, I'll give him that but he's just not my type of singer. I'm bored. And what is with the open shirt with the chains? All I could think of was Chef from South Park. Randy doesn't think it was his best vocal but he know who he is. Ellen thought it was a safe choice, like driving the speed limit. Kara felt it was boring and loungey. Damn her! She's right. Simon calls it too much and old.
I've caught up with real time. Poop! Now I have to watch commercials.
Andrew - "I Heard It Through The Grapevine" - 1-866-436-5707 - What is up with the pompadour? He needs to go. He was better than Paige and Tim but he still needs to go away. Yucky! Me no likey at all! Randy doesn't think is was good either. Ellen doesn't think it was enough to earn new votes. Kara feels bad for him. She thinks that "Straight Up" is messing with him. Simon thinks "Straight Up" was overrated. Simon also thinks that Andrew sucked the soul out of that song.
I laughed at every single little clip they showed of Glee! I can't wait for Glee to be back!
Katie - "Big Girls Don't Cry" - 1-866-436-5708 - OH! This is the Fergie version! I thought she was doing Paul Anka! Fergie makes more sense. Is she a little sharp? On a night of bad performances, she did enough to make it on the tour but it wasn't outstanding. Randy calls it sharp. I was right! Ellen thinks it was her best performance. Kara thinks it was a good choice and thinks it was her vibe. Simon says something about chalk and cheese. Huh??
Katie, Miley is so not going to hang with you.
Casey - "Power of Love" - 1-866-436-5709 - Huey Lewis? Really? I had a cousin that came to visit once and play my Huey Lewis tape NON-STOP for the entire week. I still HATE Huey Lewis and the News because of that. Casey seems like he's just phoning it in right now. I think with the other EXTREMELY crappy performances tonight, he knows he is safe. He's right. He's on the tour. Randy thinks he did it well. Ellen wasn't a fan of the song choice but calls it the best vocal of the night!!! Seriously, Ellen? Did you not HEAR Crystal? I like Ellen but why did they let Paula go? They should have given her whatever she wanted. Kara thinks he's on another level and ready to make records. Simon doesn't know what Kara is talking about and compares it to watching an 80's cover band.
Didi - "You're No Good" - 1-866-436-5710 - On a night like tonight, Didi finds herself in second place in my book. The beginning was a little shaky but she loosened up when she started singing to the bas player. After that she started having fun and it showed. I enjoyed it. Randy loved the idea but calls it pitchy. Ellen didn't get the song choice. Kara says it didn't feel like her. Simon didn't like it either and I think the audience is going to lynch him. Well, I liked it!
Siobhan - "Superstition" - 1-866-436-5711 - Well, I was thinking "Good, she won't be screaming on this song". Just then, she screams. I guess she thinks "If it worked for Adam Lambert, it will work for me." She might be right but I'm still on the fence. I thought she was doing really good until the ending scream/glory note. I'm sure many will call it the best of the night but I'm putting her firmly in second place behind Crystal (sorry, Didi). Randy thinks she's fearless and he's happy she sang that song. Ellen wants more. Kara loves that she expresses herself. Simon thinks some people will love it but most will not. He says tonight was not good overall. He's way right.
Going on tour for sure: Crystal, Big Mike, Siobhan, Katie, Aaron, Didi, and Casey
In danger of missing out on the big bucks: Tim, Paige, Andrew and Lee (only because he went first)
My favorite was Crystal followed by Siobhan, Didi and then Casey. They rest could all go home tomorrow and I wouldn't care one bit.
What about you?
